not quite, in Spain there are words that are not longer used in this side of the sea.
Remember EVG, that in Spain not only castellano is speaked, but also Catalan and both are very different but yet almost all speak both

Yes but "catalan" and "gallego" are two different things than castillian.
Besides, I studied in Spain. Not everyone there speaks them... you can find people thant do in very specific regions not all the country.
And what words are used there than no longer are used within our country: "vostros", "hubierais" and such? Those are minor things and precisely what make the "language" Castillian. Aside from that everything else is the same.
Other thing can be said about how you use: "la neta", "guey" and stuff.... the way I use words like "guillao", "pasao"; these are minor things in contrast to the main use of Spanish.
