My 2 favorite ones were the swinging kids clip to Stray Cats "Rock This Town" and the jazzy tour through the country to "Heart of Rock and Roll" by Huey Lewis and the News. I always thought it was so neat that they could put these kinds of songs to the cartoons. It made them so much cooler! I also enjoyed the Ink and Paint Club. Why can't they release some of these cool cartoons and dvd's entitled "DTV Hits" and "The Best of Ink and Paint Club"? I wish they would release the DTV Valentine Specials. Every year at about this time, I think maybe, just maybe they will release the two specials on one dvd. I have one of the specials on vhs, but the one I really want, with songs "Lady" by Kenny Rogers and "I Just Called to Say I Love You" by Stevie Wonder I don't have.

The Vault Disney slot was great as well. During this time, I got to see Disney movies that I had not seen since I was a child, such as "Snowball Express", "Blackbeard's Ghost", "North Avenue Irregulars", etc. I hate to see this go, and when I asked a Disney person, they said they needed these time slots to attract younger kids. Hmmm- at 1:00-4 in the morning?

I know we are probably dreaming, because every time I e-mail them about another channel, they just tell me their regular talking points: "There has been no discussion of adding a new channel at this time".
I know, "Vault Disney" was one of my favorite overnight block of classic Disney programming. I used to have it on a bunch of VHS tapes since I recorded off of Disney Channel a few years ago until it pulled the plug. I love the movies like "Big Red", "Almost Angels", "The Absent-Minded Professor", "Bon Voyage", "The Happiest Millionaire" and a couple of Disney 2-part TV movies like "Menace On the Mountain", "My Dog, The Thief" (that was already out on DVD), "Johnny Shiloh", "The Wacky Zoo of Morgan City", "Return Of The Big Cat" and others. The one show I used to love is DTV where they used to have clips from Disney cartoons and feature films set into some popular music like "Baby Love" by Diana Ross and the Supremes with clips from "The Ugly Duckling", along with songs like "Dreamin'", "Friendship Train", "You Can't Sit Down" and other great songs that were poopular using clips from a bunch of Disney cartoons and features. I wonder if DTV should be consider to put it on DVD because of the music licenses. Thanks to music on Ipods. As I said this before but I would say it again, Vault Disney was the best overnight block ever made. I still miss that block, but thanks to DVD's.

I remember watching the old Disneyland shows with my family on Sunday nights & remenicing (spelled right?) about Disney. You can't remenice over Lizzie Maguire, or That's So Raven, or Jetix. It's a shame folks, a real shame.
Amen. TDC nowadays is virtually unwatchable. I don't even know any kids or "tweens" who watch any of the programming, and that's where they seem to be targeting everything nowadays.

It's even more of a shame that an entire generation of kids will grow up having only known Mickey and Donald & friends through theme parks, packaging, and corporate branding, rather than the cartoons they should be known for.

In all honesty as much as I love Disney I am not sure we will see much of an improvement. I noticed TDC went down hill when the cable companies removed it from the premium channel lineup. When we had to pay for the channel the programming was a lot better. I love the fact that we do not have to pay for the channel anymore, but I wonder if thats what has caused it to go downhill. It is more comparable now to Nickelodeon.
