I shower every day. I can't wake up properly if I don't get my hot shower in the morning. On days off though, I could probably go 2 days...but then I start to feel grimy behind the neck and ears...
It's up to you and me, to face our destiny. The jury's here so let's take the stand.

I know someone who has to shower three times a day, once in the morning, at lunch, and at night

You see that's why we have water shortages ultimately creating water restrictions. Unless he/she works out all the time or has OCD I can understand that. On the other hand it's totally unnecessary.

Hm... oo That's overdoing it a bit, non?

The most I can go is 2 days without a shower... and then my hair (and the rest of me!) begins to feel incredibly nasty...
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I remember reading something about back in colonial days, the people would worship seven days a week and bathe once a week, and how times have changed and they bathe/shower seven days a week and worship once a week.

Anyways, here's a quasi-nasty tale about my showering habits whilst in Florida:

Normally if I have a morning shift at work, I save my shower for nights. And if I have a afternoon/night shift, I shower in the morning. Well one day, I had an afternoon/night shift, but I woke up really late and didn't have time to take a shower. I had to catch my bus, so I just threw on something (probably clothes from the day before), and hurried to work. Anyways, my afternoon/night shift sucked because it rained, and I had forgotten my rain gear. So I was drenched for most of my shift, and by the time my shift was over I was so damn tired and didn't care that I was wet, so I changed out of my costume and dried myself off with a towel and went home. Well I was still tired by then, so I changed out of my old clothes and into pajamas. And of course, my shift the next day was a morning shift, and I told myself to get up early so I could take a shower. But naturally, I slept in, and had to rush again. So this is my second day in a row without showering. My morning shift was okay, I didn't smell or anything (maybe the rain did it last night), and once my shift was over around...2 or 3, I changed back into my street clothes with the intent of going home for a nice shower. But of course, plans change, and I ended up going out with some other castmembers to EPCOT to test-ride Soarin' (it wasn't really test-ride, more of a few weeks before it opened and they were only letting castmembers on), where lo and behold, it rained again. But this time I was in my street clothes, so it sucked even more. Anyways, we did the test-ride at Soarin', after which it rained. By the time I had gotten home and finally into a shower, I had been rained upon three times already and was wondering whether or not I should even bother. Good thing I did, because while shampooing my hair, little bits of leaves and stuff were falling out. Not "big" little bits, but the very tiny crumbly stuff, which mean that during all those times I was rained upon, crumbled up leaves were settling in my hair (which is very thick if I don't cut it), and no one could see it, and I couldn't feel it.

And a really funny tale about my showering habits in Florida:

During the majority of my worktime in WDW, my managers saw it fit to always assign me to the Nut Wagon. There's only two in the whole of Magic Kindgom, so nut fanatics always seek us out and you can imagine how busy the nut wagons get. Anyways I almost always would have the closing shift for the Adventureland Nut Wagon three or four times a week (and sometimes in a row), which was no picnic. I always preferred opening the Fantasyland Nut Wagon. But back to the whole showering part. You see, when we make the nuts, we have this great big kettle and the wonderful cinnamon/vanilla/sugar smell travels quite far. And since I worked at the Nut Wagons most of the week, I always smelled like cinnamon/vanilla/sugar. Was I a hit with the ladies? I don't know, I didn't date anyone, but the smell was always noticeable. Probably the only good part about the Nut Wagons for me was that every time I took a shower, the hot water would "react" with the nut aroma on me, as if it were melting it off, so my showers (and the bathroom) would always end up smelling like cinnamon/vanilla/sugar.

Thats along time to go without a shower!
I shower everyday unless I am sick and too weak to and even then I just take a bath. Another time I go without showering is if I'm camping, which isn't often.
Oh, and sometimes if I've showered before bed the night before and don't have to do anything the next day but sit at home, I'll skip a shower because I feel clean enough. But those are all rare occasions and I usually shower every day. Plus, a shower is what makes me feel like I'm starting my day.
