The Scariest Disney Theme Park Attraction
Alien Encounter was probably the scariest they've ever done. Tower of Terror is more of a thrill ride, but Alien Encounter was all psychological. That's why kids I know who love roller coasters couldn't stand Alien Encounter. The first time I went on it I just remember thinking it was fun, but then I saw all of the kids crying about it, and I realized it was great.

For me it would probably be Tower of Terror. Even though I was 7 last time I went on it, I would probably still be terrified due to my inate fear of falling. Not heights, falling.
Other than that, I've never been on a WDW ride that scared me. I love EE, but the people in the row in front of me (which happened to be the front row
) were scared sh!tless, as Ecapay would put it. I swear to God I wanted to hit them, this guy was scared on the climb, saying "Oh god I want to get off let me off let me off". What a wuss.

While I get extremely nervous/excited during the lift, I always try not to say "Let me off!" I hate that. Yet, at King's Dominion in Virginia, on Flight of Fear, it happened.
(Goes Off-Topic ... NOW)
Didn't feel too good. Friends coaxed on to going on 'Flight of Fear' an indoor rollercoaster. Walk to the entrance and notice the Thrill Factor is 5..out of 5. Oh, joy. So we get in, I'm "calm", or, deathly afraid to myself, and we get inside. Little did I know that the ride is like 'Rockin' Rollercoaster' in that it speeds off in 2 second to 55-60 or whatever speed it was.
So, we're in the loading area, and I hear "3, 2" and a deathly loud sound booms off as the train speeds away at a horrific pace. My friend and I finally got on and I was flipping out (in my head, at first.) Then, I hear "3" again I f------ died and shrieked, as "2" was bellowed and we sped off, hearing also the laughter of people behind me.
Always glad to lighten up the mood!

Alien Encounter was definitely the scariest- I cried the one and only time I went on it. I actually refused to ride the Stitch ride just because it was in the same building. I will NEVER go on that ride.
Dinosaur scares me... went on it a few times but after the last time where the ride STOPPED about three times during the ride I'll never go on it again. Just not worth the pain.
Never had a problem with Tower of Terror or any of the others.
However, my first memory (EVER) is of Captain EO when I was 2 years old. Didn't even have the 3D glasses on and I was terrified!

Aaawh! You're missing fun on Stitch MinnieMe! I thought it was more funny that scary really, screaming and laughing at the same time. But, I can see how you were scarred :shudder:MinnieMe wrote:Alien Encounter was definitely the scariest- I cried the one and only time I went on it. Tower of Terror is the only ride at WDW that I refuse to ever go on. I used to have a TERRIBLE elevator phobia, and for obvious reasons just don't want to go on a ride that would simulate my worst fears. And I'm DEFINITELY not going to stand in line for 45 minutes for a ride that I would probably not like so much.
Call me a wimp if you want. And while you're at it, I'll take that extra Fast Pass for Rockin' Roller Coaster if you aren't gonna use it

I think that Dinosaur is the scariest attraction at WDW...I almost always have my eyes shut through part of it (including the picture, lol); it's the only one that gets me truly scared now. It's weird; I love it, but I can't always watch it. And I loved dinosaurs as a kid and think they're awesome. Go figure. (It was cooler when it was Countdown to Extinction, just because that's a better name...) I bet Everest will scare me too...being really close to a lifelike, menacing AudioAnimatronic seems to be what does it.
The only time I remember being absolutely terrified of a ride was when Tower of Terror opened. I didn't want to ride it, but my parents decided to 'switch off'...so I had to go through the queue area. I was 9 years old at the time (it was 1994), and when the preshow started, my then-6 year old brother and I started SCREAMING and were in hysterics...we knew we didn't have to ride it, but we really thought there'd be a 'surprise' drop in the lobby or something. My other brother, who was 4, DID ride it...he said "I think my tummy ran back to the hotel room." He didn't ride again until he was 6 or 7.
I would generally avoid rides I thought would really scare me (anything that moved really fast, generally; I used to be really bothered by that flip-flop feeling in my stomach) and then ride them when I got over that. Less trauma that way, and I could feel really proud of myself when I was brave enough to ride Tower of Terror when I was 11.
Oh, and Alien Encounter was really very psychologically scary, and I think it'd still be there if more parents had used a little sense or foresight before taking toddlers on it. I thought that one was 'great scary'...freaked me out, but I felt safe and was more than willing to do it again. Stitch's Great Escape is even scarier, though...it's scary that there could be a ride that poorly put together.

Cool! I'm glad my cousion wasn't the only 4-year-old to go on TOT! When the ride was over, he pushed people out of the way to get out!Disney Princess Ariellen wrote: My other brother, who was 4, DID ride it...
I wish I got to experience AE though, it sounded fun! Plus, it was also written by George Lucas which also had me excited. But the time I got to MK again, it was closed!
Like I said earlier in this thread, "Dinosaur" is still probably the scariest one for me as I never actually jumped on any other theme park attraction. TOT being a very close second though(can't decided which one is scarier, Dinosaur or TOT) and IDA: TOTFE being third(though IJA was more of "thrilling" than "scary").
Wonder how "scary" EE will be.

Yes. It's sorely lacking most of the realistic effects from AE, features a nasty chili dog belch, and just...not a whole lot happens. And there are so many plot holes and ways in which this ride makes no sense in Lilo and Stitch "canon" (it's set BEFORE the movie, but Stitch calls himself 'Stitch'...). Oh well; sounds as though you're like me in terms of wanting to try every attraction at least once, so I'll be eager to hear what you think of Stitch when you see it.Haven't been on Stitch yet either, but it sounds to be a more kiddy version.
I think I pretty much agree with all of those.Like I said earlier in this thread, "Dinosaur" is still probably the scariest one for me as I never actually jumped on any other theme park attraction.
