The world is about to end................I agree totally with Lazario. I also have never had a positive experience from eBay.

Those of you who are trying to get tickets to concerts and sports events are going to the wrong place. Don't shop on eBay for concert tickets or sporting events...........go to www.stubhub.com they have tons of stuff, and don't allow scalping. If the ticket cost $30, that is what you pay. I find that the best place to find seats to Dallas Cowboy, Dallas Mavericks, and Dallas Stars games. There are always tickets there, and usually pretty decent seats.

(why would someone even give incorrect contact details?!) Could it be a glitch in the system? I was only registered for a few hours... :(
Have you considered contacting them?

I've emailed them but I was hoping to talk to someone instead of receiving some pre-written letter.

What's with you people who get into all this trouble? My eBay experience has been good - I've been able to get items that I might have had difficulty finding otherwise. I'd say there's nothing wrong with eBay or their concept as such. But, admittedly, I've never used it for DVD shopping - there are obviously too many bootleggers in that field. And why should I? DVDs can be had for good prices elsewhere. Always do your "homework" - check the seller's profile thoroughly before you place a bid.

Disney-Fan, they said that your contact details were incorrect? Maybe either they sent you an email that you needed to respond to or the address you typed in was "wrong" in their system (for example, the street sign of my street says "Drive", but sometimes, like on MapQuest or the Post Office, it'll be referred to as "Street")? Definitely wait and see what they write back to you- if it is just a random pre-written letter, find a phone number. If you need help finding one, let me know!

I've been an eBay member for just under 4 years, and I have 100% feedback, as both a seller and buyer. When I first started buying DVDs, I used eBay for many that I couldn't find in stores, and I only received 2 bootlegs (on Half.com or Amazon, though, I've received more). As long as you research the seller and what they have sold and what they are selling, and look at their feedback, then you shuold be safe if you only deal with people who have a great track record. Even if a person has 100% feeback, read the comments left by people who did business with them- they could've been selling bootleg DVDs, and the people who bought those were happy with them. When I first started using eBay, I would leave feedback once I received an item- which is a NO-NO- only leave feedback once you are certain that what you bought works the way it is supposed to/that it is in the exact condition it was listed in. I have been selling by myself on eBay for years, and I worked at an antique shop as an eBay lister, so I have a lot of experience with eBay. And I've had an overall great experience with the site.

Recently I sold some items- 3 lots of items, to be exact. One person bought two of the lots, and the other was won by another person. The first person was great to work with- she paid fast, and she received the items, was pleased, and left great feedback. The other lady didn't purchase the items right away- I contacted her, and she said that her wallet was stolen and that she'd have the money by the end of the week. The end of the week comes and goes, and she hasn't paid me. I contacted her again, and I'm waiting for a response. That auction ended on November 21st, and it's Decemeber 6th and I still haven't been paid. I'm about to mark the item as unpaid- I've never had to do that, and I don't know what happens then. If a second person had bid on the lot, then I would have just let the 2nd person have it, but no one else bid on it. The items have been in a box, ready to go (NEVER SHIP OUT ITEMS UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR!), and I'm just waiting for payment! I just checked the person's feedback (again)- her newest comment is from November 28th- "Fast Payment"- fast payment my foot- why is she buying other things but won't pay for mine...that's it, I'm going to report her....GRRRRRR!!! :x

All in all, eBay is great if you know how to use it and are careful. :)

*edit* I contacted the lady and said that if she doesn't contact me today saying that she'll pay, I'm going to report her to eBay. :x

I just had my first negative experience with ebay last week. I had purchased a copy of the Emperor's New Groove: Ultimate Groove Edition from a person who only sells DVDs, doesn't use stock photos and has 100% feedback. Well I wasn't sent the right item. I returned it and she gave me a full refund and paid for me to ship it back to her as well.

It wasn't a complete negative but I don't have my DVD so... :(

OK, so my eBay problem was solved. They just sent a notification stating that I'm now a reinstated member. They gave no explination to the reason behind my suspension nor did they apologise.
