To be quite honest, i could care less about what they name them.... Recently, disney hasn't been really reliable about how they categorize their dvd editions....
They could name them ultra-super-duper-rare-buy-me-now-edition and i'd still get it... I'm just happy that we get 2-disc editions of these movies!!!! :D

They're both, I guess.
Is it confirmed these are going to be the only SE releases for January? Probably "Lilo & Stitch" is going to be released in August, along with "Mary Poppins". Wow, how many times has this DVD been delayed?!

Interesting how Disney decides to release two of their most underrated films on the same day. Anyway, I hope the releases of Alice, Poca, and Lilo influence more SE releases like Hunchback, Pinocchio, Hercules, and Mulan (though I read somewhere Mulan is likely to go SE to promote the sequels).

What I would like Disney to do would be to make their DVD's match all together. You know... Like you can tell they're from the same collection just by looking at them. I do not know if explaining correctly...
Like no more Platinum, Special, blah blah... All Disney Classic Collection.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I liked it better when Disney used to release everything under the same collection, too. Now everything's all jumbled up, but at this point, I don't care anymore. I used to care, but I think I've grown so weary of Disney's inconsistency than now I don't find myself as concerned with titles and series as I used to be.

Great. Another potential title change. And what's worse - Disney has run the gammut of titles for their home video collections that now they're rehashing an old VHS title for a new DVD series. 'Cept now it's "Masterpiece Edition" rather than "Masterpiece Collection". Oy, vay.
What the heck was up with the generic "2-Disc Set" banner on the Sleeping Beauty packaging? Yeesh - it pretty much matched a Platinum Edition in packaging and content - why not just call it a "Platinum Edition" now, and worry about your damn HD-DVD releases later? Gawd almighty.

I, too, would've ideally liked to see a consistant title for all of the current 42 animated features released on dvd. I would've also liked all of them to be 2-disc sets, but hey. Maybe something as simple as "Animated Classics" or something fancier, like the "Walt Disney Legacy Collection" - whatever - just so they're consistant. And I would insist that they have the same packaging, too. None of this Snow White vs. Beauty and the Beast Platinum Edition crap.
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. I had a dream that little underrated films like Robin Hood and overrated films like The Lion King lived and played together in harmony. That all Disney animated films were considered equal. ;)

No, it's not confirmed. There just isn't any listing for Lilo yet. They might be staggering them, or they might just not have added it yet.

Guys, the release schedule Jim Hill gave us a little peak at a few months ago has been right every time so far so I'm pretty sure Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, and Lilo & Stitch will all go SE on the same day. They might just be labelling Lilo & Stitch differently than the other two because it's a bit more recent than they are.
