LOL! I love that! Im sure that none of them will get an "R" rating. That is a little more mature that the target age.
I would think Umbridge's detentions would qualify the book for an "R" rating. I found that rather creepy. Thank God real teachers can't do that.

Man, too bad my computer broke down. I just found this out now! Great news. It rubs me the way Revenge of the Sith's rating did. Meaning, I love the fact their going for real voilence and scariness like they should, but it could turn some parents off, but hopefully turn some teens on. And RotS did terrificly at the BO, and people are always saying this is their favorite of the series (me included) so I'm hoping this does better than CoS and PoA and hopefully PS.

Wow! Their first PG-13 rating. I personally think that the people who rate the movies are getting whimpy! I mean there are so many films that got PG-13(or even PG) and yet, they feel like they should be rated lower! I hope that's not the case for Goblet of Fire! :D

I don't think this new rating will hurt box office records since parents today are getting lazy! My box office prediction: 305 million.

I just hope this movie is waaaaay better than Prisoner of Azkaban!

Well I think the majority of people who will see this movie are fans of Harry Potter. Too bad there aren't very many of those!

The Prisoner of Azkaban was, in every aspect, a better movie than the sorceror's stone and CoS. If you thought the third one was bad and the first two were excellent, you need to watch more movies. Almost every single major film critic stated that PoA was better than ST and CoS.

I think you meant to say "I just hope this movie is waaaaay better than the Sorceror's stone or Chamber of Secrets"

And this film will probably contain scary moments. If you were freaked out by the dementors in the third movie, expect some scary moments in this film.

Just because someone's opinion differs from yours, it doesn't mean it's wrong. I for one found PoA to be a good movie, but not as good as CoS, which I enjoy most out of the three movies so far. Sorcerer's Stone was a good "introductory" movie, but IMO was the weakest movie-wise, though the strongest story-wise.

Ew, Alan, your avatar is disgusting.

While I disagree with T/Pfan, the fact that most critics also disagree with him doesn't do much at all to counteract his opinion.

Prisoner was not any better than the first 2 movies, All 3 are great, Prisoner had a different director so it was done in a different style. It had a darker mood. I dont see how you can say that there was Scary stuff in it. The forth movie is rated pg-13 but I believe it is because there is more violence in it.

Off Topic: Wow, I think an avatar from The Passion of the Christ would be less disturbing...

On-Topic: For me, Prisoner of Azkaban was definitely the best Harry Potter film. I love the first two, but the problem with them (especially the first) was that they were re-enactments of the books rather than adaptations. What I mean, they followed the main events of both storylines, but there wasn't much to tie each scene together. The first film, in particular, feels rather disjointed. It's like someone made a list of the major events that happened, and the filmmakers decided to re-enact each point on the list. Also, due to Chris Columbus' direction, everything in SS and CoS feels staged. On July 31st, I watched all three Harry Potter films back to back. I hadn't seen the first two since last year or so, so this was the first time I saw them after having PoA in my mind. It was a bit shocking to see the differences in presentation. Prisoner of Azkaban's events and dialogue feel more grounded and natural, whereas the first two feel somewhat artificial and storybookish (remember, I love the first two, so I'm not slamming them, but I prefer the more conversational method of acting PoA has). Also, PoA isn't afraid to ADAPT, which is what a proper book-to-film transition should be like. It focused solely on the main plot, and anything else that didn't contribute was discarded, while new bits were added to help each scene flow better into the next one. Because of this, PoA was the first HP film where I didn't think, "Hey, they left out ____________," every few minutes. The style of filmmaking mixed things up enough so that I was looking at PoA as a film in its own right rather than a re-enactment of a book. From what I've read, Goblet of Fire continues this trend. Every review I've read of it so far has said it's either the best HP film yet, or the 2nd best after PoA; all agree that it's better than the first two. I do want to say, though, that Chris Columbus shouldn't be slammed for making SS and CoS the way he did. He had all eyes on him, and there was extreme pressure from many sides to deliver faithful adaptations of the novels. By the time Cuaron joined in, the pressure wasn't as intense because the world was used to seeing HP films. I think that if HP wasn't as insanely popular as it was, Chris would've felt more freedom to adapt things and change others as opposed to just re-enacting things scene by major scene.

About the avatar: WHAT THE HELL!

As for the first 2 Harry Potter movies, I really liked them! SS was my least favorite book in the Harry Potter franchise because it was weaker compared to the other books, but when I saw the movie I started to appreatiate the story more. It's still my least favorite, but now I really like this story much more thanks to the movie. CoS is my favorite movie so far! I guess it's because I liked the story better than SS. It was funnier and darker than SS. Definatly everything I hoped from a sequel. I guess since the first 2 movies were so good, I was expecting a GREAT movie from this since POA was my favorite book from the HP series. It was the darkest(IMO) and the most interesting. So when I saw this movie I was compleatly disappointed. I guess it's because I compared it with the book so much that I just was very disappointed especially since the other 2 were adapted their stories just fine. I also hated how the movie looked so different than the other 2 movies. I mean it just feels so weird how Hogwarts looked so different in just a year. So I decided to watch this again and I told myself, don't compare it to the book or the other 2 movies, like it for what it is! And yet even with my positive attitude, I hated it more. I guess that time I just started spotting out things I didn't like about the movie like the terrible acting and the cheesy dialouge. So you can't say I haven't given it a shot, because I tried really hard to like it, but I just couldn't get into this movie. Sorry.

Harry Potter 4 Gets a PG13 and A Some Of The New Trailer

Post by yankees »

The WB has just announced That Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire will get a PG13 unlike the other three that had a rating of PG.

And If You Look On http://extratv.warnerbros.com/ They have a Sneak Peek Of The New Harry Potter Trailer.

Sofar This Movie Looks amazing and I think it will blow the other 3 away

With The PG13 rating i Dont really care but I think this will make more ppl happy and they will see it and then it will make more money.

They didnt say when the trailers coming out but I am guessing that it will come out during Vailant, The Brothers Grimm, or The Coprse Bride.

Like I said I cant wait till Nov18th :D
