Re: Frozen: Part IV
Tell us about Frozen’s music. How many major songs will it include to serve the story?
Chris Buck: Seven I think. They hopefully carry the arc of the story out without stopping the story. That was our goal to keep telling the story and let those songs propel us along. So it won’t feel like we’re just sitting for three minutes waiting for them to finish their song.
Jennifer Lee: That is a key. Music functions to get right to the emotion. They really help you feel things. They resonate but also when you’ve got a song, there is so much more you can accomplish that would take five or six scenes to do that you can do in one song. So we always said [with] every song, we’re gonna take full advantage. We’re making this big movie, we want to go to some big places and make big choices and so the songs all lead you that way. Or they’re trying to capture the emotion of what someone’s been through. Particularly Elsa’s ‘Let it go’ is a great example. There is a great song in the beginning that’s sung from Anna’s perspective and you just understand them better. I love what we’ve done. We do it in a way that is contemporary and fresh. I hope people see it as a very different musical experience.

So, seven songs. Sounds about right. So we'll have:
Eatnemen Vuelie (opening)
First Time in Forever
Anna/Hans duet
Kristoff solo
Let It Go
In Summer
Troll song
End credits (if it's a new song)

I'd throw some A Troll in Central Park in the mix too.Edthehyena wrote:I caught a glimpse of the trolls on the last link and they looked like a mix between Black Cauldron's Morva Witches and Hunchback's Gargoyles.

Well, that's good. For a while I was kind of worried it would be some teeny bopper renditions of the songs.SWillie! wrote:That's good news! Hmm... Do you think it would be possible at all that they'd include some of the OLD songs? As in, Menken's work? And I wonder if the deleted songs will just be demos or if they'll be full recordings.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
There WILL be a final trailer with the songs in it

Because of the film’s unique story and antagonist, the first two trailers are acting like set ups. The first one was to let you know that Frozen was coming, while the second one established the story. The third and final one should feature the musical numbers that were heard at the D23 Expo and be more character centric.

Wow talk about going the opposite direction that Tangled did. I hope the third trailer is like the international trailer we got but better.disneyprincess11 wrote:There WILL be a final trailer with the songs in it![]()

I don't think that the ones in bold count as "songs"Sotiris wrote:So, seven songs. Sounds about right. So we'll have:

The Kristoff solo will be a small 5-10 seconds song.
There's no way Anna and Kristoff won't get a duet or something, especially since they end up together.
I think the last song will be reprise of "For the first time ever"
"In every age, Family is king,
and the bravest journeys, are never taken alone."
-Brave.

First Jennifer Lee now Darrin Butters? Why do Disney animators keep trying to ship Elsa & Wreck-It Ralph

Re: Frozen: Part IV
From one of the links Sotiris posted earlier...
http://www.movieviral.com/2013/10/07/50 ... ys-frozen/
Perhaps this is the title of the Anna/Elsa duet?
http://www.movieviral.com/2013/10/07/50 ... ys-frozen/
Is "The Past Is In The Past" a song title, or is that an existing song from elsewhere? Or is it just "Let It Go" with Michael Lee not knowing the correct title?17. Part of the animation process included bringing in Idina Menzel to talk to DiSalvo, where up to 60 different animators were crammed into one small room to learn and discuss techniques, singing, and most important aspect of all: breathing. Animators would take video recordings of Menzel singing “The Past Is In The Past” and watch subtle things like diaphragm movement, neck tension, cloth, lighting, and breathing. If it would make the performance more believable, it will be included. According to the animation team, there has to be a certain level of believability that needs to be there before the shot could be approved.
Perhaps this is the title of the Anna/Elsa duet?

Re: Frozen: Part IV
@DancingCrabs-I am pretty sure that it is one of the lyrics in Let It Go. But it could be a song
We'll find out soon.
Whenever Disney decides to post the songs

No "s" on DancingCrab. Turning it plural makes it sound like I need to see a doctor about something.disneyprincess11 wrote:@DancingCrabs-I am pretty sure that it is one of the lyrics in Let It Go. But it could be a songWe'll find out soon.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
It is one of the lyrics for Let it Go, apparently.
http://disneyfrozen.tumblr.com/post/584 ... -go-lyricsThe snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I’m the queen
The wind is howling like the swirling, storming sky
Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well now they know
Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don’t care what they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystalizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back
The past is in the past
Let it go, let it go
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
Cold never bothered me anyway
Re: Frozen: Part IV
So I was watching the trailer on youtube, and I read this comment:

From the trailer the only real reason to go watch the movie is to see who she falls in love for or to see the snowman melt away to die or turn into a man.
Not wondering of "who's the snow queen = the sister" not for the story cause they gave to much away. Not for the character design cause it looks exactlly like Tangled, Rapunzal=sisters, Nice guy=flynn, Deer=maximus, other then the Ice guy we've seen these character designs in Tangled. And not for the cliches.

Concerning the song, are we sure those lyrics are the real ones ?... They're beautiful, very spiritual.
