My friend in Brazil wants to know if the replacement discs still have French, Spanish & Portuguese audio as according to a site he read the replacement discs have English & Japanese audio.
Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

I got mine today, too, actually!
In perfect condition, I'll add. I'd worried, since they had to travel across several states to get to me.

My replacement Blu-ray disc lists those languages and does not include Japanese.kenai3000 wrote:My friend in Brazil wants to know if the replacement discs still have French, Spanish & Portuguese audio as according to a site he read the replacement discs have English & Japanese audio.

This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?

Mine arrived today as well, after sending of the originals back around the 16th/17th.
This is how they are packaged for those that are wondering:

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I finally got my discs. And they're as they should be.
By the way, out of all the pre-CAPS (or whatever technique they used after Mermaid), am I the only one to notice that TLM retains glows where they should be, even on the new Blu-ray master?

I actually sent mine in to be replaced very late, and they came back after one week.
Thank God this terrible burden is over for me.

I got my replacement discs in the mail yesterday; unfortunately, I had them mailed back home, so I won't be able to watch the film until Thanksgiving break.

Here's the info xxhplinkxx from a couple pages back
DancingCrab wrote:GREAT NEWS! Disney is now offering replacement discs for the 2D blu-ray and DVD that fixes both the Scuttle transition and the Part of Your World error. All you have to do is call them and say you are calling about the Little Mermaid replacement disc program and read off some numbers from your package and they will take your address information mail you a prepaid envelope to ship back your discs and they will send you corrected discs that are currently being pressed. The only bad news is they are not replacing the 3D discs at this time, but this is still great news that they'v reacted this fast after release when they could have pulled a Lion King and ignored complaints altogether.

Also, it's been confirmed that anyone who redeems their digital copies on Amazon and Vudu will get the corrected version of the film right now. iTunes still has the errors in it though.

Finally got my discs in the mail today. Checked the Blu-ray and it is as it should be. Still haven't checked the DVD yet, though. But I'm sure it's fine.

*shudders* Ugh, I'm not a fan of the way they're sending these out. I hate those little white disc envelopes. I'll give this replacement program a shot, but it looks like it's going to take a miracle for those discs to reach my house unscratched.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I got my replacement discs today!
I will watch the Blu-ray tomorrow to see if Ariel's tail is still blue in the beginning lol.
My Blu-ray came in perfect condition but my DVD is a little scuffed up.
It doesn't look like scratches but idk if I should try and whip it with my microfiber clothe to see if they come out.
I still wish they would have replaced the 3D copy as well, but I am happy!

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
can anyone answer this?spikeyroberto wrote: I wanted to ask this question..on youtube we see a video of people singing along to "Under The Sea" and it sounds like a full instrumental version..however the crab-e-oke video also on youtube is just the lyrics on screen to the original track
So what I am asking is - on the blu-ray do you get any option to hear a full instrumental of any of the songs to sing to - or is it just vocal versions?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I can answer your question spikeyroberto. The Karaoke songs on Blu-ray discs (be it Little Mermaid or The Muppet Movie) are non-instrumental tracks. In other words, you're hearing the songs as originally released on the soundtrack since the film versions feature sound effects and whatnot. I don't know how those people got a hold of an instrumental version of Under The Sea (they probably have some special machine that puts the dialogue far off in the background).
Anyway, I'm glad Disney is doing this replacement program and righting a wrong. But questions:
1. Will they eventually release the corrected discs in retail (like a new pressing/shipment), especially since the DVD only release of the Diamond Edition is coming soon?
2. They'll do this yet not for The Sword In The Stone and (still in the dark with this) Mickey's Christmas Carol? Unless the restorations DO look good and were not seeing them right? :/

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I'm pretty sure I have some Disney karaoke CDs with full instrumentals of major Disney songs. That's where they probably come from.
