Any link to those opinions? I know there was a poster earlier in this thread who thought so.TheBlibaBlob wrote:There's quite a bit of negative criticisms coming about the songs coming from the people who have heard them.

I think I agree with the one poster who said that Frozen will be a Disney film in a while that the art direction doesn't have a pallete of "Skittles".

Source: http://variety.com/2013/biz/news/cather ... 200683518/Jennifer Lee, co-director of Disney’s upcoming animated film “Frozen,” agrees that the notion of targeting males as a top priority is misguided and outmoded. “What we’re always told in the industry is the audience you want is men, 18-35,” says Lee, noting that men are considered the hardest audience to please “because they are the first ones to say no” and that women are more flexible.
Her statements come off as a bit ironic since the marketing for her film is desperately trying to appeal to boys by centering on the male characters while severely underplaying the sisterly aspect which is in fact the focus of the film.

In that last one, it looks like a stage set. But then this is a character voiced by Idina Menzel we're talking about.qindarka wrote:New stills:

Agreed, but how much say is she likely to have with respect to marketing strategy?Sotiris wrote:Source: http://variety.com/2013/biz/news/cather ...

Very little, if any, I presume. I'm obviously not blaming her for the marketing approach; just pointing out the irony.RyGuy wrote:Agreed, but how much say is she likely to have with respect to marketing strategy?

Hey guys! I don't know if this has already been posted because I haven't been keeping up as much lately, but I'm still around. Here is a clip that Disney just uploaded I'm guessing it's one of the TV spots.

First CGI looks at little Anna and Elsa, and trolls

Personally, little Anna looks weird and the trolls look like something from an Adam Elliot film, but still can't wait for the film.

I kind of like the design of the trolls and it's refreshing for trolls to be portayed in a postive light and has something of a Gargoyles function (turn to stone during sunrise).

Re: Frozen: Part IV
If I remember in Scandinavian mythology trolls turned to stone in the sunlight. Although some parts of the Scandinavian traditions has been dropped from these trolls I still think its appropriate how Disney included them because the Snow Queen story did include trolls. It seems once again Disney did do some research on this.Musical Master wrote:ARGH! Why were Anna and Elsa so gosh darned cute!TheBlibaBlob wrote:First CGI looks at little Anna and Elsa, and trolls

Wow that is ineteresting of how much Disney has put so much time and effort into this movie.jazzflower92 wrote:If I remember in Scandinavian mythology trolls turned to stone in the sunlight. Re: Frozen: Part IV
It seems just like Wreck It Ralph they put so much effort into research for the movie. For Wreck It Ralph's case it was the video game genre while for Frozen its Norway. I think they are really going with something big for this movie just like they did with Wreck it Ralph. I have a feeling some will come for the altered Snow Queen story and stay for the deep Norwegian culture put into the movie.
Speaking of Snow Queen adaptions, one thing I notice is how similar they all are. I think why they might have not wanted to make the Snow Queen a villain is because its been done a hundred times to the point its a cliché. Also trolls seem to be in Snow Queen adaptions a lot and often times they can be either good or evil.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Oh my gosh, I have a gift guys!
I just got home from my high school’s play and guys i had HUGE feelings that something new from Frozen just got leaked and i was right.
I HAVE FROZEN SENSES AND THEY WERE TINGLING
Really though everyone looks great. Honestly, the images aren't spoilers at all.
BTW: Is it me or does the Anna/Hans song look a little too modern with "the robot" and "the hand jive"/whatever it's called?
