Well I don't think that was it. I think there was still some good in him still. I mean if him coming back to life was all Yoda's and Obi Wan's doing then how come Darth Vader kept on saying, "You were right about everything Luke". Why didn't he say, "Thanks to Obi Wan and Yoda, I'm alive again for a little bit". I sense a new change when they release Star Wars again.

Vader said that to Luke while he was still alive. He said, "Tell your sister you were right, you were right about me." When you see them at the end they are not 'alive again.' It is a manifestation of their former selves. They were able to draw their energy from the netherworld of the living Force and made themselves appear there for Luke's benefit.

There was still good in Vader, but he had no knowledge on how to come back from the Force. This was discovered by Qui Gon Jinn and was taught to Yoda and Obi Wan.
