Next Thursday is the last day to revise Chicken Little predictions.
I'm revising mine slightly: $130.

I'm revising my Chicken Little prediction. I live in Holland, so it's imposbbile to judge its promotion or the hype it's getting. It won't do Pixar #'s that's for sure, but since fall/winter is Pixar's old time slot (with exception of Nemo) I think a lot of the moviegoers and kids will be unaware of the fact that this is not a Pixar film. They'll all go see it anyway. I keep hearing there's lots of ads all over tv over there, so I'm gonna assume its opening weekend will be pretty big. Its total will dissapoint I think due to Harry Potter (ouch)
All my Disney predictions have been too high this year so far. Again, I'm gonna take gamble and do a high prediction:
$174 million, wich would make it the third highest grossing movie produced by WDFA behind Aladdin and he Lion King and it will have all the execs saying "toldcha"

Changing My Chicken Little Predictions again
Chicken Little: Since Nov of 2001 Disney has always took the first weekend of november and since then all threre november films have done well. In 01 Monster Inc, In 02 The Santa Clause 2, In 03 Brother bear, and in 04 The Incredibles.. All Of Those Films Have made over 130million (except brother bear).
Now In Nov. of 05 Dsney is going to release Chicken Little... Ads have been around this moie everywhere.. In Niv of 04 They had a preview During The Incredibles and he was one of the floats in the Macy day Parade. The Movie Was supposed to be released in summer of 05 but changed it to November and Movie Disney/Pixar Cars to Summer06. So like I said ADs are everywhere from busses, TV, posters, and more.
Around 2 weeks agao I thought This Movie was going to do bad because it was a week after the legend of Zorro and harry potter he 18th... but Zorro kindof flopped at the box Office so this will really be the only kids film around till Potter.
Reviews Have been mix. On rotten tomatoes it has a 33% rating but Theres only 15 reviews and familys dont really look into reviews.
Overall I dont think Chicken Little is going to be as big as Disney is planning it to be.. But since that will only really be the crowd pleaser till hary potter comes out it should be somewhat big.
Here are my weekend Predictions.
Weekend 1 Nov 4-6: Anywhere from 30 to 40million
Weekend 2: Nov 11-13(verterans day friday) 22million
Weekend 3: Nov18-20(Harry Potter opens 10million
Weekend 4: Thanksgiving weekend
^ While Harry will still be one thanksgiving weekend Chicken Little could make as much as it did opening weekend since this will be the 2nd choice movvie but then 5th weekend it would drop big.

I don't see one final number, so I can't update your previous prediction.yankees wrote:Changing My Chicken Little Predictions again.

And it made just a little less with the actual numbers released. It actually made $40,049,778. I didn't think it would pass the $40 million mark, I thought $30 million at best.PatrickvD wrote:According to Box Office Mojo's estimates, Chicken Little made $40,086,000 in its opening weekend. That's pretty good.

I think it's not too early now to start predicting the following movies as well:
Stick It! (Spring 2006)
The Wild (April 14, 2006)
Cars (June 9, 2006)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (July 7, 2006)
More on all of these movies here:
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/intheaters.html
If you're game, you can start posting your guesstimates on those films' domestic totals. Also, remember, there are 10 days left to update Narnia predictions. Once Narnia, Chicken Little, and Aliens of the Deep wrap up their runs, I can declare a winner for 2005.
