I read earlier that the stage show in London will receive some kind of recording, on CD November 21st, I think it was. I'm glad there will be something, just in case it may not make it to Broadway.

Yes, it will be available on digital & streaming on October 10, on CD on November 21, and on vinyl on December 5. Here's the press release for more details. This development does not bode well for the show's Broadway prospects.

Well, I would've been surprised if it made it to Broadway or lasted very long, so I'm happy there will be something just in case.

I saw the show this weekend and I expected it worst. Meg and the Muses saves the show. All of them are amazing in all the ways and they capture the essence of the animated characters. Hercules was not bad but the actor couldn't reach some notes, maybe he was a little bit ill or something. Hades was a whole disaster. The character doesnt' remember you to the animated one and I din't find anything good about him, even his song is awful. It's not the actor's fault, he did it as best as he could. Pain and Panic replacement were funny but honestly I couldn't find any good reason to not maintain the names.
The stage is great and the costumes look better on stage than in pics. I was a little bit skeptical about these sporty looks but honestly on stage it looks great. Meg has 2 gowns, one for the beginning and another one that she wears for the rest of the show just changing the skirt. When she sings her song she wears a different skirt more elegant.
The story is all right but the second act is less emotive than in the animated movie.
Overall I would say that it's my third Disney favorite musical after BATB and Frozen (the TLK version that I saw here in Spain didn't conquer me so I have to watch another one to see if it's my problem or that I simply don't like this musical).

My English is not bad but there's one thing that I didn't understand at all about the show. Meg is supposed to be a grown up woman when Hercules is born. Is she like inmortal because she's under's Hades power or something like that? Maybe I lost some information.

Meg's sacrifice for Hercules is less emotive. All the characters help Hercules to fight Hades and if I don't remember bad she is injured by an arrow or something like that, I don't remember it all right because I couldn't see the part all right because some actores were before her and I couldn't see her well. Afer that Hercules goes for her soul and that's all. Everything is really quickly, in the movie you had more time to assimilate everything. I also prefer how she dies in the movie with the column falling on her. I was all the second act trying to guess how they were going to make the column fall and it didn't happened XD. I also don't remember her saying "people do crazy things when they are in love.
There isn't a pact between Hercules and Hades for her to not being damaged. She told him that she works for Hades and after that it comes the fight. Hades tries to make him drink like a potion saying him that it will turn him into a god and he almost do instead Meg telling him that it's poisson but he doesn't trust her anymore and he thinks that maybe Hades is all right. There are changes that are ok but in my opinion the movie second act is really good so I don't understand why they changed things that could perfectly been adapted on stage.
However Meg is amazing on the show.

Interesting ... in so many ways the Disney library is bred for the stage musical, but at the same time, they tend to come with cumbersome parts that aren't easily adapted, especially around the climax. "The Little Mermaid" is probably the starkest example of that, but most of their stage show adaptations have had some issue with that.

Aladdin also had issues adapting the end. I understand that it's hard to adapt some scenes and that they decided to change them but changing something doesn't mean that you have to make it less emotional. However as I said it's all right, in my opinion is better solved than Aladdin.
I don't know abut TLM because I haven't seen this musical.

I ordered the U.K. recording, but there's no date or anything yet as far as when it'll come.

IDK, I would expect this film is as hard as TLM and others, depicting all the giant figures and battles successfully. They couldn't even get Ursula right (even aside from the part where she grows gigantic, the direction for the character was a complete trainwreck.

There are a lot of shows they could do, it's a shame things go so slow. Following the Tangled remake--if it's as successful as you'd expect--that would be the best time for a Tangled show to do well, tbh. Then there's Moana, Encanto, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. It would be nice if Mulan got one someday, but I know those others would get made first; if they hadn't screwed up the remake, maybe that would be different. They could do Zootopia, too, I suppose, even if it would have to be done from the ground up.
