That's a bummer :/ Must have been a huge demand for the doll. At least you'll get her soon enough, February is right around the corner.

Btw, this thread needs more pics! I'd like to see all your collections if possible. Here’s a pic I took a couple of months ago. These are Mattel’s Disney dolls I thrifted that were in various states of undress. I decided to fix them up and give them more modern looks by dressing them in Barbie fashion sets from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.

I ordered the LE Mary Poppins doll but she’s on back order and won’t come until next month. :(
Ily were quite popular last year. It seems that Disney is loosing intereset on them and they release a few dolls each year so maybe the'll end up dissapearing this year. They also released a line of dolls that are similar to the American Girl's concept.
I ordered Mary too and it seems that I'll receive her today. I'll let you know as soon as she arrives.

A couple hours after posting, I got an email that my Mary Poppins had shipped! Totally unexpected but I’m so happy. It should be here by the middle of next week! Thumper_93, did yours arrive today? What do you think of her?

Mooky, your dolls are so fabulous! I love the color combinations of the outfits. Are they in order: Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Esmerelda??, and Mulan? I wish I was that creative. I have no eye for fashion, but it’s something I want to learn.

I will take some pics soon! I just started grad school this week and in perhaps the worst decision of my life, I also volunteered to come into work on one of my regular days off to help move things out of storage. So things are crazy right now and it might be a minute! Lol

I received it last Friday. She’s cute but her head is too big. The same problem that other LA dolls have. We bought it because my husband loves Mary Poppins

Thank you! And you're correct, that's the line-up. I didn't really style them from scratch, all those outfits are complete individual fashion packs; the only thing I did was decide which doll would look the best in which outfit :)

No worries about the pics. Whenever you find time or feel like it! Good luck with school too!

I can make some pics but this weekend. What kind of dolls do you collect?
My collection is focussed on Disney doll but I also collect:
-Barbie
-Bratz
-American Girl (they are hard to get here in Europe and I don't have so many as I would like)
I also collect other dolls like Monster High and Nancy (an spanish doll) but I try to be more selective with them because I don't have so many space.

After many months (and some spring cleaning), I present my doll collection!: https://imgur.com/a/7PK6JwH

Most are new Disney Store and Mattel dolls released in the past 2 years, since I’ve been collecting. And a few dolls from the 90’s that I’ve bought on eBay.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I really want to complete my ‘97 The Little Mermaid Mattel collection and I want to begin collecting dolls of Pocahontas from the 90’s.

I love your collection! So many gorgeous dolls you’ve got there! I wouldn’t believe this took you only two years if you hadn’t said so. I’m quite fascinated by those Mickey and Minnie sets, didn’t think they’d be that appealing but they look great.

Thank you! Some of the dolls I’ve had for longer (the Snow White and Cinderella dolls, for example, I bought on eBay maybe 5 years ago?).

I love the Mickey and Minnie sets so much! They were not popular and I bought the Valentines one on clearance. I don’t think we’ll get a new set this year. :( But I think they’re amazing.

You're welcome. That's still very impressive for a recent collection!

Out of curiosity, I just checked out those Mickey and Minnie dolls on eBay and wow, they're really expensive now. It sucks if there's no new set scheduled to come out, three would have been a nice number to end the line on.

This line is a not for me. Last year collection was better. I have Ariel and Mulan from this line and they are amazing. These one doesn't have any sense to me and I also don't understand why they are making the same characters again and again. In a play line I could understand it but not In a collector line where fans want different characters. This is the third Ariel collector doll and the second Belle. Tiana has also another doll released by the 100 anniversary but I'm not sure if this doll is under the Disney collector line.

Yes, I ended up loving the Enchanted Elegance dolls and I’m surprised that line hasn’t continued into this year. I just assumed they would with all the positive reception online.

I think these Once Upon a Whimsy dolls would be very interesting pieces to display, but I’m probably not buying them. I was also disappointed that they did Ariel and Belle again— I think they knew this line was a bit of a stretch so they went for very popular princesses that people tend to buy, regardless of design.

The dolls are weird to me and not for me but maybe some people will like them.

By the way I have decided if I can keep all my dolls I will. I have other things I could sell for money but by God I love my dolls.

Good for you, Duster!

I’ve had to sell things in rough financial circumstances before— the good news is, even if you have to part with something you love, you can always rebuy when you are more comfortable.

Thank you! And yes, usually you can rebuy it, but sometimes I don't see a doll I have on eBay. But usually they'll pop up other times I hope. I think the only thing I have that is irreplaceable is my "Until Midnight" giclee. I don't think anyone else out there would have a giclee like that. It's something I never want to sell because of that. For a visual, it's the first picture on the top left in this image:

I have all those other pics as lithos of course lol.

I sell things when I need money too! Some limited edition dolls can save you from a rough time. 2 years ago when my husband and I wanted to go to Orlando I sold my Vanessa LE doll and with that money we paid part of the travel. Like Umbrella said you can always buy it later!

Thanks so much, Brelly! I await the day I can hang the giclee on a wall.

Thanks for the advice, Thumper. Sorry that you ever have to sell your dolls, though.
