I only thought it was put on hiatus, like Disneyland California's Sleeping Beauty walk through, because of terrorist thing. I didn't realize it was gone for good.dizfan wrote:Tokyo's Mystery Tour has been gone for years now.

Re: Fantasyland Forest
Couldn't agree with you more. They're so different that I ususally don't even think of it in terms of liking one more than the other. I enjoy them both for different reasons, and I like different aspects of them differently. But then, let's stop comparing them. They're seperate, and intended to be so. It's not like "Peter Pan III: Tinker Bell's Story." No, it's something totally different. Think of them as two totally individual entities.Disney Duster wrote: The two things are almost so different you can't compare, though.

Really? Or are they saying that for Tink you can be on the shorter side, but for Aurora you need to be tall? Because even as I was reading the earlier parts of the article, I was thinking, I'd be too short even if I wanted to be a princess...Wouldn't each Belle, for example, always be about the same height?Female Character Look-alikes between 4'10" and 5'8" tall.

So Mickey and Minnie's homes may stay! Good, because if anything this project is all about the character's real homes, so it wouldn't make sense to get rid of those characters' homes for ones for new characters, they are the most important characters of the company!
Did Donald and Daisy or Goofy have any homes?

Correction: Mickey and Minnie's are STILL leaving the Magic Kingdom. They may be moved elsewhere, but they're not staying.Disney Duster wrote:So Mickey and Minnie's homes may stay! Mickey & Minnie will always have a place to greet guests at that park, no matter what.
And, once again, their "real" permanent homes are in Disneyland's Toontown in California, while their Florida domiciles were just their "vacation" homes.

When I said stay, I meant stay existing within the parks somewhere. But thanks for all that information! You too Amy!
Oh, they were really just the vacation homes? I guss that makes it a little bit better...Disneyland would be the best place for them to call home.
I think Magic Kingdom fits these characters best, but I hope they pick a good place to put their homes. I also hope that Donald's, Pete's, and Pluto's homes also find a place.

Great article, Amy. Thanks for the link!
I particularly enjoyed the story about the squirrel who scampered up the custodians leg, stole some snacks, but gestured "Thank you!" before scampering off, making him a polite "Disney squirrel". That is too cute!
And of course, the info about the new Fantasyland was very interesting.
With regards to Mickey and Minnie's homes, count me in with the group that wants them to stay. While my first choice would be to keep them exactly where they are as part of an intact Toontown, keeping the houses accessible to guests somewhere else in one of the parks is better than losing them completely. The little details that these houses are full of are IMO very charming, cute, and extremely well done.

But they don't have a "vacation" home anymore. Of course, this cynic inside my head keeps arguing that, technically, the WHOLE RESORT is their "vacation" home.WDWLocal wrote: And, once again, their "real" permanent homes are in Disneyland's Toontown in California, while their Florida domiciles were just their "vacation" homes.

Squee! I just read the twenty-three article about the expansion. I am just so excited, although I guess the princess experiences are probably for children, and an adult woman would look pretty awkward trying to participate (since I will be one by the time I get to WDW again). Still, I'm really looking forward to experience the Fantasyland Forest, it seems like a dream come true!

Well, I like meeting the characters, and I don't feel ashamed; it's WDW- everyone should feel like a kid!Margos wrote:although I guess the princess experiences are probably for children, and an adult woman would look pretty awkward trying to participate (since I will be one by the time I get to WDW again)

Except if everyone should feel like a kid, why the heck is there so much stuff associated with teens and whatnot (HSM, Hannah Montana, JoBros, etc.)?WDWLocal wrote:Same here.blackcauldron85 wrote:Well, I like meeting the characters, and I don't feel ashamed; it's WDW- everyone should feel like a kid!
