Quick question: So has there not been any announcement of a Blu-Ray release of Little Mermaid 3? All this time, I was figuring it was coming to Blu Ray also, but then I noticed the weekly ads only have a regular DVD (but then they only have a regular Nightmare Before Christmas advertised in the weekly ads too). I don't have a blu-ray player yet, but I decided I will probably get one by the end of September, so I am buying Blu-Ray discs now when they are an option (well, I've bought one so far), and I would hate to buy this one and have there be a Blu-Ray edition come out a month later... So, there's not a blu-ray coming out this week, is there? And there's been no word on one coming?
Yes, I found that very weird, especially since not even Ariel knows what a fork is and what it is used for!nachonaco wrote:A chassis. Marina mentions one in her 'Just One Mistake' song. I THINK it's in the reprise.
It's a part essential to an engine.
One other thing, has anyone noticed that in the movie Ariel's love and curiosity towards humans is missing?
I know the movie is all about Ariel trying to bring music back to Atlantica, but for a movie called "Ariel's beginning" you would think it would explore that side of her a bit more. Or at the very least, have a quick scene in which she goes to her grotto and she has a handful of trinkets, showing that she is just starting.
Vermin Friends: My least favorite scene in the movie? Sadly, anything with Flounder and the musicians on it.
Flounder is too annoying and hate how they changed him, and the other musicians do have some annoying tendencies.
EDIT: Oh, and I just realized...Melody has a lot of silly aunts.

Man! Same here! I think they were just added in as something that younger boys could laugh at while watching with their sisters or something. Really, I would rather have a movie without the band and Flounder than have them included, and irritating.pap64 wrote:One other thing, has anyone noticed that in the movie Ariel's love and curiosity towards humans is missing?

Lots of people were complaining about that, too- how Ariel doesn't even go to the surface other than in the first five minutes. So let's see...
List of topics that could have been covered in TLM3 but weren't:
- Ursula's banishment
- Morgana's history & how Sebastian and Triton seem to know her in TLM2
- Ariel's fascination with the world above (clever, eh?
I know there's more, but I can't remember any.

The interviews with Jodi were just lovely old Fish Tale. It is wonderful to see how much she loves and cares for her character and the movies, and how special she knows they are to all LM fans. Its great they got her to talk so much about the film; has that even been done before on a DTV? Where the lead talks about the movie? Even just having a making of is great !
The premiere pictures were lovely too! Her daughter is so cute in her Ariel dress
This might be a bit of an overstatement, but is Jodi one of the most important people connected to Disney, voice-wise? I mean, she comes back time and time again for Disney, recording anything and everything to do with Ariel, and Ariel is one of the mosst beloved characters in the whole of Disney. Disney themselves must know how much the fans love her, and have never replaced her, or her singing voice in anything, as far as I know. I know Linda Larkin does all of her Jasmine stuff for Disney, but she has a different singing voice, so it doesnt somehow feel the same for me, I don't know why. And obviously the older Princess voices have been replaced, and seem to change speaking voices quite often, apart from Cinderella who seems to be fixed now with Jennifer Hale, which is great.

Yeah...all the hard core little mermaid critics pretty much moaned and groaned about that little detail...what I wish was at least have an ending scene while everyone is rejoicing about the return of music and then they show Ariel finds one of her "thingabobs, dinglehoppers, snarfblats etc" and that leads her to swim to the surface and then it says THE END...I think a perfect find would have been the music box shown in the grotto since its like a human counterpart of the Athena/Triton music box...and that inspires Ariel to go see human life an such.pap64 wrote: One other thing, has anyone noticed that in the movie Ariel's love and curiosity towards humans is missing?
Well they certaintly are drawn prettier in this one! They really show they're age in TLMII lol.pap64 wrote: EDIT: Oh, and I just realized...Melody has a lot of silly aunts.![]()

Remember how at the beginning of the movie the pirate ship crashes on the small oasis and crushes Athena? Well, what if at the end of the credits, Ariel goes back to that same spot, and parts of the ship are still there. She explores it and finds some human trinkets, like forks, boots, jewelry etc. It would prove to be very ironic as the one thing that killed her mother is also fueling her dreams of the world above, and would further fuel Triton's hatred of humans.
Now THAT would have made the movie awesome

That is a good idea pap! Like i said before, the fans have plenty of neat ideas to fit into sequals and prequels and what not. Who knows maybe they will make another Enchanted Tales movie with Ariel and it will further explain what happend.
Oh and excellent UD review by the way, it was pretty fair meaning it wasn't as junky as some other DTV's and I agree with what they said about the storyline an such. Kudos to whoever wrote it.

OMG, I was JUST coming to mention a possibility of that- Ariel finding treasures from the pirate ship. Never would have thought of showing it at the end of the credits- now that would have been brilliant. Maybe even bring in Flounder- fill in the gap between TLM3 and TLM... Man, you are a genius.pap64 wrote:Oooh...I had an idea.

I know, but I just wanted to tell everyone why I downloaded it.Vermin Friends wrote:I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to Ariel'sprince who was complaining that the download he got had the entire DVD, but didn't include the bonus features, and that he wanted them so bad. If he really wants it, he should buy it, even if he has to wait longer.supertalies wrote:And to respond on Vermin Friends: I just wanted to say that I downloaded the movie, because the movie is coming a month later here in the netherlands.
I have to wait longer.
No hard feelings?
About the UD review:
That is just like I feel!
The movie is good, but it isn't special, and it could've answered more questions.

I'm sorry if it came off that way, I've just been dealing with a lot of sh-t lately, and I guess it shows up in the way I write. I'm really sorry, and I hope you guys can forgive me for the attitude I've been using lately.supertalies wrote:I know, but I just wanted to tell everyone why I downloaded it.

I agree with Vermin Friends (bet you never saw that coming
) on the illegal downloading, just suck up your big kid pants and wait it out not like your going to die without it or anything besides it's sorta like Christmas you complain it takes too long to get here then complain the waits done with and it's all over
Anyways back on track if I remember correctly and I should having watched it recently, Ariel *in Little Mermaid* goes into a large ship that's sunken and has a big hole in it, could it be possible that that ship is the pirate one? Or perhaps the one Eric uses to ram Ursula
Just a random thought I had when all this talk of the pirate ship came up

If I'm remembering correctly, that ship was all the way at the bottom of the sea, whereas the pirate ship must have been around a beach or a hill. Trust me, I considered the possibility of this being the same ship.Chernabog_Rocks wrote:Anyways back on track if I remember correctly and I should having watched it recently, Ariel *in Little Mermaid* goes into a large ship that's sunken and has a big hole in it, could it be possible that that ship is the pirate one? I was so ready to buy this dvd. Now after reading UD's review I'm back to being torn again. It isn't a scathing review of the material itself but it isn't flattering either. It says if you've like previous dtv Disney dvd material you'll like this. I haven't liked previous dtvs. If that's the quality of the actual movie itself (audio/video are fine), then I'm not convinced that it's worth buying. Damn, I was hoping that the review would either say it was an A+ fantastic piece of art or a steaming pile of crap. It's neither and I have no idea if I really want it.
