i love the new 2-disc edition, especially the really beautiful moon-lit background, and the fact that it says "special edition". however, they should change the bottom to make it go together with the top and redesign the plain-looking title box in the middle. Overall, i give it an 8 out of 10! disney did a nice job

I strongly dislike you. It'll turn to hate if they listen to you (luckily, BVHE never listens to their customers).danfrandes wrote:I sent the Disney Company an email telling them that the edition title for "The Aristocats" should've been "Jazzy Groove Edition" and I told them that "The Aristocats: Special Edition" would have one disc edition instead of two discs and I told them to release "The Aristocats" in possibly May 2007.

I don't think he's joking. He's not the type of person to joke about this kind of think. And besides, doing something like that is a very danfrandes thing to do.goofystitch wrote:I think danfrandes is joking... at least I hope he is joking...
danfrandes, if you DID in fact send an email to Disney about changing the name to another incredibly corny name, and (worst yet) want a SINGLE DISK RELEASE instead of a (for the first time in 2 years) 2-DISK SPECIAL EDITION, then there's something wrong with you if you are actually a Disney fan. As far as "telling" them that "it will be released on May 2007", I don't think that the people there will give a damn about when you "tell" them the DVD will be released. It will be released when THEY think it's appropriate. End of story. By the way, danfrandes, if you really want a single disk of Aristocats, just go out and buy the GC DVD. That would allow you to be happy with your single disk, and for us to get our 2-Disk SE.
Overall, I think Disney will ignore you. They might send a reply basically saying, "Thanks for your input." But I doubt they will take your...erm...suggestions/demands seriously. BUT, in case they DO, I WILL hold you personally accountable. I have the GC version of Aristocats, so if Disney changes things and pulls another "RH: Most Wanted Ed." on us, I'd be fine and happy with my GC and skip on a double-dip. BUT, if Disney comes up with enough bonus features to add to this, and creates a Platinum-worthy 2-Disk release, I will happily double-dip for the first time. Honestly, I'm actually getting excited about this release, and the fact that it's a 2-Disker is the main reason. Please don't spoil that for everyone!

I believe/think that's what 'New Digital Transfer' means, at least i'm hoping that's what it meansblackcauldron85 wrote:danfrandes, I was just wondering why you want a single-disc release instead of a double-disk release. I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't want bonus features!!!
And, are they restoring the film at all?

The cover art is really good, for once!
Hopefully, we'll get a slipcover with this edition.
I really hope they won't change their mind for a 2-disc edition like in the past. Anyone remembers the "Tarzan Special Edition" stunt they've pulled? Promoting a 2-disc edition (I've even watched the trailer saying it'll be 2-disc) and releasing a single one instead. I was really ticked off by that one

Not to mention double-decker buses, Sir Ian McKellen, and plenty of fish and chip restaurants. Lucky Brits.singerguy04 wrote:We just aren't cool enough, isn't that obvious? i mean look at them, they have a numbering system, they've had better cover-art in the past, and they have those accents!

It's official, danfrandes is one of the following:
A. He's really just Jeffrey Katzenberg pretending to be some kid in a far away place, and is trying to not only mess up our beloved Disney but trying to mess up their fans too. All in trying to find a way to make Shrek the Third to beat Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End at the box office this summer
B. He's really just a Disney executive, and he's actually pretending to be a kid saying stuff like "I want a single disc and some silly special edition name" to see how us Disney fans would respond and find out what they truely want.
The world is is becomming clear(er)!
