Thank you so much waltdisney123 for that link.
I've looking everywhere to find that logo in the net and now it's there! That made my day!
I saw it in the theater but wow how beautiful it actually is! I like it more and more.

Thanks for finding a link waltdisney123! It does look like it was filmed in a theater so the quality isn't great, but I think everyone that hasn't seen it yet gets the idea.

Look at this 8) Here's the link

Enjoy :D
I really like that! I like how they still kept the original feel to it, I would've been upset if it was completely different.

Thanks waltdisney123 for this link. Great to see this new logo. I hope this new logo could be for the next Disney film "Invincible", "Santa Clause 3" and a number of films except for Direct-to-Video movies. But what about the same new logo for "The Little Mermaid" Platinum Edition DVD? I don't see it yet, but will see what happens. Great job! :D

I would assume that Disney will be using the original logo for TLM DVD.

I hope they do that. The opening of The Little Mermaid would be completely different otherwise.

I like it. The music was nicely orchestrated & the effects were wonderful. For once, Disney, you did something good for a change.

Will see what happens on October 3rd if "The Little Mermaid" Platinum Edition comes out on DVD and you'll see. If it's either the original logo or the new logo. It's going to take about three months to "The Little Mermaid" to come out on DVD. I have the original VHS tape had the old logo on but the sound quality was not that great since I had it a long time ago where my mom bought me a VHS tape from the streets complete with a cardboard sleeve instead of the clamshell case.

They should definitely keep the original old logo with the movies it was originally released with. That's such a small thing, but it gives that nostalgic feeling to see the film with that original logo.
But I won't cry or anything if they use this new logo with The Little Mermaid. The movie itself is what counts.

I seriously doubt this intro will get used all the time.
and there's no way they will use this in things like the little mermaid.

that being said, now that Ive finally been able to see it thanks to the youtube link, I can't deny how beutiful it looks and sounds. truely amazing.

its just a bit too flashy to be used in every upcoming Disney movie.
sometimes simplicity is the best way to go.

Musicradio77, your mom bought you that on the streets and instead of a case it has a cardboard sleeve? So does that mean it was a bootleg? Or did Disney release their VHS's that way at one time?

Yes! It was a bootleg. I watched the film but the sound quality was gargled on the entire film with the original picture quality. But it had a rare white castle logo on it. That was in the BD edition. If the DVD comes out in 3 months for the PE, it had the light blue castle logo replacing the early white castle one.

I don't know if they're going to put the new logo on the PE edition of Little Mermaid, cause if I remember correctly, the PE edition of Lion King has the orange logo at the start, even for the theatrical cut of the movie (when the old VHS I have has the old blue one). But yet on Aladdin, which came after Lion King still has it's original blue logo. So who knows, but I think they'll keep the original logo. Anyways, thanks for the link, I'm starting to love it even more.

The Lion King had the Orange logo, because it was the IMAX version on the DVD.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

If "The Wild" comes out on DVD, does "The Wild" had either the original blue logo or the orange logo with the flashlight?

By the way, if the new logo should be keeping after POTC: DMC will be for the next film "Invincible" which will be out in a few weeks, I've seen the trailer for the movie a few weeks ago, but they still had the orange logo before the change to a new one.

I think it's stunning. Don't get me wrong, I adored the old one but it was getting kind of embarrassing for Disney to continue using such a simple logo. Especially when you think of what technology can do now-a-days.

So only positivism from my side (:
