Thinking about it, not sure if these would even be compatible with US Blu-ray players, so I'll have to pass, unfortunately. Really nice covers though. I love how WIR has the videogame setup on the back.

Depends on the title, it seems. I currently have the Jungle Book, Aladdin, and Little Mermaid steelbooks. Little Mermaid and Aladdin are region free and play fine on my blu-ray player, but Jungle Book is region B/C locked and doesn't work. I'd be happy to let you know once Frozen is out if it works or not, as I'm getting it either way.

Also - that WIR retro back cover was actually chosen by all the members on that other forum. Zavvi had put a different back up with just a clipart image of Ralph and Vanellope, and one of the members posted the video game image and it got enough interest on the forum for Zavvi to change it. Pretty cool!

I personally hope this does to go Broadway eventually, with the Lopezes adding more songs in. And I think that's very possible at this point.

Does anyone else feel as though Chris Buck is being ignored?

I think it's probably because he doesn't have an online presence. Whereas Jennifer Lee is very active online. Not that it matters all that much at the end of the day, especially if he doesn't care about the "fame". But fame and the internet go hand in hand these days, so it's no surprise that Jennifer seems to be getting more attention between the two of them.

Not to mention Lee being the first female director of a Disney animated feature and her back story of jumping from screenwriter to director (rather than the usual gradual climb of other Disney directors) getting a lot of attention. Chris Buck is definitely a pro, though, and I have seen the occasional review talking favourably about him and bringing up Tarzan in a positive light.

Interesting that they tried to get rid of it before, but changed their minds due to backlash. . . . I think Frozen would be a more likely choice to replace it though over a Toy Story musical. Couldn't they just run it alongside one another ?

There's only about 15 minutes from the time Anna and Kristoff meet in Oaken's store to the time they enter Elsa's castle And there's a lot that happens in that time. I knew the "road trip" wasn't really that long.

They said in an interview that they've got a big ballad on their computer waiting for Kristoff (Jonathan Groff's character) that was cut due to time issues but was meant to be sung whenhe decides to go back because he realizes he's in love with Anna. I'm sure we'll get to hear it one day.

Bad move, Disney.

Good question . . . I should know the answer (since I was still living in Southern California at the time) but I'm not 100% sure.

I saw Beauty and the Beast at the Shubert in August 2006 . . . I don't remember how long it had been playing in L.A. by that time, but I do know that the Beauty and the Beast show that played at Disneyland had been replaced by Pocahontas at the Fantasyland Theater/Videopolis (I don't remember when they changed the name) the previous summer.

"But this movie, it was a completely different thing than 'Frozen.' It had a storyline that stuck a lot closer to the original source material. And at this reading, Olaf was an entirely different character."

"Mind you, even with Josh back on board, it still took us a while to figure out what to do with Olaf. For a time, this snowman character was Elsa's main henchmen and his magical ability was -- thanks to his carrot nose -- he could smell anything that was coming from miles & miles away," Bobby recalled. "But that didn't work. It just didn't make sense. More to the point, given how appealing Olaf's design was, it seemed to be a waste of this character's true potential."

"We must have spent two weeks just talking about this one character, trying to find a more organic way to make Olaf part of 'Frozen' 's story. Not to mention finding a way to make this character fun," Kristen continued. "We kept looking for ways to make Olaf part of Anna and Elsa's early childhood, that innocent time when these two sisters were still close. And then when we came up with the idea that Olaf is this snowman who's obsessed with summer ... Well, that just plugged into our innocence theme. There was just something so poignant about a character being that naive."
