I appreciate all the thanks. I never thought it was fair that those without Blu-ray or those internationals who invested in Blu-ray (who were promised BDLive but Disney never delivered) aren't able to share in the excitement. So I Robin Hood'ed this trailer for everyone's enjoyment.
I may be looking WAY to into this but didn't Don Hann describe the Fantasia 2006 segments as featuring "WORLD music"? Fantasia WORLD...its starting to sound like a conspiracy. Anyway, the word "world" might have been chosen to represent the massive size of this extras disc with all the new shorts and previous bonus features on it.
If its uncut and has the Fantasia 2006 shorts, it'll WAY surpass my expectations. I'm really excited for a press release and the worse thing they could say now is this set has been pushed back.

Guys, Disney Channel Brazil announced their movies for 2010. And in that list... FANTASIA and FANTASIA 2010! The thing is, they always show the "march" Platinum in the 2nd semester of the year, and the "october" Platinum on the next year of the release... so, if they're going to show FANTASIA, it HAS to be released this semester! Yay!

OK I think I have concluded this....Dumbo is NOT considered a Diamond Edition (No where on the cover does it indicate that). Dumbo will release in Feb. then a Blu Ray version of Fantasia will come out in March. Shortly after a DVD release (think Snow White type release). I hope I am correct on my conclusion!pick wrote:Guys, Disney Channel Brazil announced their movies for 2010. And in that list... FANTASIA and FANTASIA 2010! But, Disney already has the Blu-Ray releases for the Toy Storys set for a March release. Are they really going to release four prestige titles on Blu-Ray in the same month? I think they're smart enough to space out the releases a bit.MICKEYMOUSE wrote: OK I think I have concluded this....Dumbo is NOT considered a Diamond Edition (No where on the cover does it indicate that). It's been said for a while now that Dumbo wasn't going to be a Platinum or a Diamond but just a Special Edition. Also, i'm pretty sure it's been stated that Dumbo and the Toy Story's are supposed to be March releases. The Fantasia's probably will not come out until late spring, I'd expect May personally. I'd suggest reading the Dumbo SE topic for updates on that release.MICKEYMOUSE wrote:OK I think I have concluded this....Dumbo is NOT considered a Diamond Edition (No where on the cover does it indicate that). Is this perhaps a sneak peak of what Disney's new marketing department will do in the future? Now THIS is a trailer.
What needs to stop is Disney using random an forgettable music for their dvd trailers. When I see a trailer for Dumbo I wanna hear Baby Mine and When I see an Elephant Fly... not random stuff.
Of course they couldn't possibly do this to Fantasia, where the music is beyond essential. But it was a breath of fresh air seeing restored images with original music, all edited together strongly enough for me to be interested enough to go out and buy it. I would have anyway, but some of their trailers are SO unappealing.

I hope not. The releasing the Blu-version earlier gimmick may have happened with Snow White but I hope they don't push their luck with it.MICKEYMOUSE wrote:OK I think I have concluded this....Dumbo is NOT considered a Diamond Edition (No where on the cover does it indicate that). The Fantasia's are going to be the next Diamond Editions, it's just that they'll arrive later than the other Diamonds would. Early 2010 is stuffed with big releases. There's literally no good place to put this release until April or May. I think it's safe to assume the release schedule will look very similar to what tlc38tlc38 posted.
