Today I watched The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, it was an okay movie, but it dragged on in parts.

A simple Google search brought me here:

This sounds silly, but please refrain from asking questions that can easily be answered. Also, I've noticed you've been using textspeak. While some may not mind it, I know a lot of people who do (And I'm not saying this to you personally. A lot of people do it, and have some trouble adjusting to proper English.) I know this may sound mean, but I'm really not trying to attack you. I just think that if you have more substantial and readable posts, you will be more respected in the forum. Hope you're having a nice time here! :)

Yesterday I watched Shine together with a friend. It's a movie belonging to my private collection.
A short summary (for those who don't know the movie): base on the life story of David Helfgott, piano playing child prodigy tiranised by his father. "When David is accepted by a prestigious music school in London as a teen, he's only to happy to escape his home life and ...But his father's rejection and the pressure of mastering such concertos as Rachmaninoff's (Third piano concerto! -my interjection) leads to his downward spiral into mental illness" (I just quoted form the back of the DVD because I'm lazy :P ) David finds happiness again through the love of a woman.

Excellent acting all around by Noah Taylor (adolescent David), Geoffrey Rush (adult David - won oscar) and Armin Mueller Stahl as his father and several gripping scenes. And lots of wonderful music of course!

I watched Last Chance Harvey, I thought this was a pretty good movie. I watched this movie later in the day after Benjamin Button yesterday, and I thought that Last Chance Harvey was a better movie.

Well, thanks...that was weird! "Wake me up before you gogo" in the place of Rachmaninov's 3rd piano concerto. But the stuttering was well-done. Those guys really looked good at the original movie.

I just watched The Watcher in the Woods. I really liked it. I thought the ending was fine; the alien aspect of the alternate endings was weird, but I liked the rest of the alternate endings. I watched Something Wicked This Way Comes last week, and I liked TWitW better.

I watched Midnight Madness. I didn't have huge expectations for it, but it was entertaining, and even funny and kind of heartwarming at times. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm reading the UD review of the Anchor Bay disc now; it mentions how bad the video is. I bought the Disney DVD, and I thought that it looked great, so I'm assuming that Disney restored it slightly? It was presented in fullscreen again, but that didn't bother me- I was too interested in the story.

Snow White.

After the many times of watching the bonus material, it still amazes me that the Disney Studio grew as big as it did. I doubt the blu-ray will be as good as the DVD, except the restoration.

The movie has a downbeat ending, Cecilia is left with nothing in the end.

Star Trek

Let's just say that all the Star Wars fans that were let down by the prequels, will want to defect to the Star Trek universe, and leave George Lucas in their dust. 8)

The movie was awesome! I'm definitely going to go see it again. The actors were great. They all absorbed the mannerisms of the original actors really well.
