Kristin Chenoweth will be singing "That's How You Know" at the Oscars! Aw, Amy doesn't get to do it! But she's not confident in her voice and singing in front of people, is she?

Kristin Chenoweth is an actress, a singer, and a Broadway actress.

She played Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, G(a)linda in Wicked, and numerous other roles. She had a short lived TV show called Kristin, and is now a main star on Pushing Daisies, an ABC show.

She has been in a lot of movies as a supporting charecter, such as in RV, Deck the Halls, and Bewitched.

And to top it all off, she has two CDs out.

Amy will not be singing 'That's How You Know' ...... as she will be singing 'Happy Working Song' ! It has been confirmed be the Oscar people :)

I think thats going to be amamzing! 'Thats How You Know' is probably Enchanted's most recognised song, but 'Happy Working Song' is so reminiciant of Disney, and such a Giselle and 'princess' song, I think it will be great !

Amy Adams will rock it :):):):):)

No Amy is singing the "Happy Working Song", and don't forget Kristin played Marian Paroo in the 2003 ABC TV movie version of "The Music Man". And yes I think she is voicing Rapunzel.

I understand Amy not wanting to be typecasted as a sugary sweet princess. She strikes me more as a Julie Andrews type than a Jodi Benson type. Which is why I'm so surprised she's singing "Happy Working Song". I wasn't going to watch the Oscars this year, but with Amy and Kristin singing the Enchanted songs, I'm going to watch.

Ok, I don't see the point of her not performing both songs, if she's only doing one. But oh well! I'll be watching for sure! :D

It was Amy Adams' decision not to perform both songs, since she doesn't feel confident enough to do it on stage in front of all these people, that's why they brought in Kristin Chenoweth to sing the song Adams did not want to perform live.
I can't wait to see Kristin on that stage.

Due to the time difference I can't stay up to watch the show (starts at 1am over here) as I have work in the morning.

I'll have to catch the songs on either youtube or the oscars site. Best of luck to Menken and Schwartz!

If you go to people.com there is a pic of Amy and one of Patrick on the red carpet and they are each holding their 'Enchanted' doll. :)

Wow! I just got goosebumps! I've been watching the Oscar Awards, and I've heard the three songs that were nominated from Enchanted. I've not seen the movie, yet, and I am extremely excited to see it, now! That song, "So Close" is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I fell in love with it, immediately. It gave me that feeling of some of the most amazing songs written for Disney's best animated films.

I so can't wait for Enchanted to come out on DVD, so I can finally see it!

My god.... "Happy Working Song" was HORRIBLE! Amy was ok, she seemed way nervous though. She was just standing there in a random black dress on an empty stage! No wedding dress, nothing else on the stage at all. What was the point of her even performing? Oh my....

I only saw the beginning of "That's How You Know" and it didn't look much better. But, I'm waiting to see it on youtube first.

"So Close" was great. Full costumes and everything.

and of course..... one of the random songs was won.

God I know! All the songs had a beautiful setting and incredible performances, yet Amy's performance was so plain! It reminded me of an Elementary Talent Show and Amy was the shy kid singing her heart out.

I felt bad for Amy because she had absolutely nothing to work with while performing the song. They should've at least given her a replica of Robert's apartment so that she could interact with different household appliances. She did seem very nervous, and her voice cracked a couple of times. I bet if she didn't just to have to stand there in the middle of an empty stage, she would've been more at ease and could've slipped into the Giselle persona more easily.

Kristin's performance disappointed me. The staging and set up were very good (I actually think some of the dancers from the film returned to perform it live). Kristin, though, seemed to be phoning it in. She normally is so bright and bubbly that I thought she'd do a wicked Giselle impression, but instead she was very mellow, almost bored.

"So Close" was definitely the best of the three live performances. Jon McLaughlin sung it almost identically to how he did in the film, and the costumes were replicated fantastically. The girl they got for Giselle looked so much like Amy that I thought it was her for half the number.

Even though I was disappointed that none of the songs won, I wasn't really surprised. As soon as I first saw it had three nominations, I figured its chances were slim. Usually when the Acadamy nominates several songs from the same film, it's almost as if they're apologizing in advance not giving the film an award. That's what happened with Dreamgirls last year.

Exactly, it's as if they all cancel one another out or something. I wasn't too hopeful for a win for Enchanted either. Like you said, they did it to Dreamgirls last year, and they did it this year to Enchanted.
