yeah, Britney was nothing but a messed up little trailer trash girl all along. She was pushed hard by her mom and management who were busy trying to turn her into a carefully crafted product. Meanwhile she just developed multiple personalities to deal with it all and then went completely koo-koo.
the curtains have been down for a few months but it looks like they're back up again.
All that was missing was South Park's Officer Barbrady: "move along people, nothing to see here"

Does Britney Spears' new single — which was just unveiled on Thursday — already have you screaming, "Gimme More"? Well, then you're about to get even more good news: The singer's yet-untitled new album will drop November 13. Ne-Yo, who wrote many potential tracks for Spears, told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Wednesday that "[Britney has] gotta remind people why they love her in the first place. She's gotta get their minds off her personal life and back on music." ...

MORE leaked songs.
All of these (except "Everybody") are supposedly from the "original doll" sessions back in 2005 and are not to appear on the album. Jive is leaking the sessions themselves through X17.

We're only hurting Britney Spears more by some of us egging on this "comeback." Because a "comeback" is only an illusion of stability or health. Are some people here actually suggesting that enjoying what her producers are selling us of her is more important than her actually recovering somehow??
I'm sorry, but I can't keep quiet about this. I have nothing against her, apart from the evil system she's a part of. But feel free to ignore me if you want to.

I dont feel as if I am egging on her comeback, and this is hurting her. Not at all.
As for her mental health, nobody knows what really happened to her. Were any of us there in rehab with her? She has said through many videos with X17 (or whatever they are called), that all of America should really belive what they read, as they are all so clever, and Britney herself is so dumb. She knows she is just a tool to the press, and seen as nothing more than that. You never see anything good written about her, only the bad. And there are planty of good things they could write about!
I belive that it just all became too much for her; too much pressure from the world. Mainly becuase her ability as a mother was questioned, I think.
There is certianly pressure this time, what with performing at the VMA's etc, but she seems fully prepared for it. She has good people around her, and a great new single. This is no different from a few years ago, but the difference is this time, she seems more prepared and more comfortable.
Her fans have supported her through this year, and she has said that the support ment the world to her. We can only continue doing this, and giving her our love.

She hasn't been a Pop Music Star since birth. If she were to get out of the spotlight, she could have a normal life. Being the Pop Music Star is what got her in all the messes she's been in. We know she's been in serious trouble. Without looking at her Rehab charts, we all know the photos of her shaved head attacking people's property with umbrellas is a cry for help. So was her irresponsible behavior as a parent. So was her clubbing behavior. The damage she's done to her reputation. The fact that as a Pop Music Star, all she has is a reputation, to which the embarrassing things that have been reported by the media will follow her forever. Will hurt her family. Will make it even harder for her to have a healthy life.
Do you think we need to know all the details? Don't you think we've had enough proof? Have you ever known someone who was so out of control that they couldn't stop themselves before it was too late? I have. And it's not just that I feel like I could help by telling people not to support her now. It's that this is a real pattern. It happens to people when there is no reality. When reality is decided by an illusion of a reputation. Her life isn't a fairy tale. She can't just put on classier clothes and magically improve as a person. No matter how much her fans wish that weren't true. I don't even think she knows what real love is.
And for the final nail in the coffin of this discussion - not all people like Britney Spears end up as troubled as she is. This is definitely about her as an individual. Why would we support setting her up the same way she was before, when we know what happened to her was bad enough?

That's all up to you. You can stop talking about this at any time.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Well, can we just leave it at that then?
You're right. All I want you to do is think, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to, just think about what I'm saying.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:I believe what I believe, as do you.
Well, not until something bad happens. Which I think will. If it does, then I was right.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:There is no way that either of us are going to alter our own views
Why would it be?atlanticaunderthesea wrote:I don't want this thread to be a negative place with an argument - type situation.
All I'm saying is that nobody wants to end up like Britney Spears. She's a tragic case. Even now, regardless of her new look, new music, new...anything.
