It depends on how you buy it. You'd have to be very careful because it is out of print. For awhile, this thing was almost $30 or more, it still might be at places like EBay. I don't know though, I never go there.

It's 3 full-length episodes of the show with the pilot afterward (though that's maybe 6 minutes max.) from the first season - Esteemers, The Invitation, and College Bored. Though they are of course 3 of the 7 or so Best episodes of the show, it might come on DVD in a year or so - Daria has one of the biggest Get-It-To-DVD campaigns of any cult show and if they can get Freaks and Geeks on DVD, than this show might not be far behind. Everytime I check out www.outpost-daria.com , it seems like they've only got Good News about potential upcoming DVD release(s) of the show. But I haven't been there in many months.

Watched the new episodes of the Simpsons and Family Guy last night. Both episodes were okay but they were not really that funny. I missed Robot Chicken because I fell asleep. i caught it on the Adult Swim website today and it was fun to watch.

Torchwood episode 5 Countrycide (good title)

So far we've had serial killers with connections to Torchwood itself, aliens that feed on "orgasmic" energy, time windows, partially converted Cyberwomen (with cyber-panties, cyber-bras and cyber-heels), fairies and now Texas Chainsaw type cannibals.

I just don't know what this show is! Normally I would approve of a show which keeps changing, but it literally has nothing which remains constant from episode to episode. And sadly, the show suffers as a result. This weeks Welsh Chainsaw Masscare wasn't a bad episode. But it just didn't feel right.

The whole premise is somewhat silly really. Torchwood are so inept at times it beggers belief, but I sort of like that. I think that could work, if they played that aspect up and added some humour. Being "adult" doesn't mean you need to have sex, gore and swearing all the time. Lighten it up a bit, that way the darkness will have a bigger impact.

I'm also frustrated that there doesn't seem to be an overall arc. The first episode hinted at so much - what's happening with the Weevils for example? I honestly expected to see one of them in this week's episode as a final twist.

Sadly, although most episodes are entertaining in their own right, I have to declare Torchwood a disappointing failure. Even Captain Jack spends most of his time being a prick rather than the carefree adventurer he was in Doctor Who. They're ignoring what made the character so popular in the first place!

I know he's supposed to have issues, but I pray these are resolved before he returns to Doctor Who! All series have birth-pains, but I feel I've been kind on Torchwood for too long (although I would recommend Everything Changes and Cyberwoman to anyone, even though they are on the face of it polar opposites).

Watched an episode from the second season of Entourage last night.

The pilot didn't gran my imagination, to be honest, but I was hooked by episode 2. Such a fun show, and packed to the gills with nods to the industry and insider jokes. The episode I watched last night had an obvious Harry Knowles reference in it.

The Simpsons - the episode where Selma wants to have a kid and takes Bart and Lisa to Duff Gardens, Lisa drinks the water and goes loony.

and 5 episodes of Disney's Adventures in Wonderland - "Technobunny," "Pretzelmania," "Friday the Umpteenth," and two I can't find the names for (thanks to an Untrustworthy and Faulty TV.com) - the first where Rabbit gets "Rhymitis" and keeps passing it on to everyone, and the other about the Mad Hatter and March Hare getting in an argument, refusing to speak to each other, and each scheduling parties at the same time forcing their friends to always choose both.

I have a real sob story involved with my last TV show viewing. Just popped in my ONLY tape of Tiny Toon Adventures and the vcr snapped the film inside the cassette. Now it's broken and I can't ever watch the show again until they put it out on DVD.

However, I did catch for the last time - "Going Up," "Nothing to Sneeze At," "Whining Out," "Butt Out," "To Bleep or Not to Bleep," "The Re-Return of the Toxic Revenger," "Her Wacky Highness," "TT Music Television," "Buster & Babs Go Hawaiian," "Open and Shut Case," and "C Flat or B Sharp?"

HOUSE!

Post by Jasmine1022 »

I watched the two new episodes of Gilmore Girls and House. A friend and I have decided to watch each other's shows, so on Thursday I am going to watch his show, Grey's Anatomy. Can anybody vouch that it's any good?

Got my Daria VHS in the mail today (yay! It was in great condition just like I hoped it would be) and watched "Esteemers" and "The Invitation." The third episode (which I already have - I recorded the Daria Day Marathon back in 1998 before the first episode of the 2nd season premiered and have watched that tape with all 12 first season episodes tons of times - as for the 13th ep., they said they "lost the tape" of the 4th episode "Cafe Disaffecto" during the broadcast but my best friend got me the 2nd MTV released Daria: Disenfranchised VHS for Christmas one year so I can watch that tape now for that episode) came up and I skipped it to watch the Pilot episode, "Sealed With a Kick."

It was only about 10 minutes long, but for those of you who haven't seen it before - it actually shows Kevin Thompson, the football player dating Brittany, making romantic advances on Daria after she pretends to have romantic feelings for him - very unlike the characters we would know during the Season Episodes. Also, Brittany's voice wasn't spoken the same by the actress playing her, the Fashion Club characters as well as Mack and Jodie and Upchuck aren't around, Quinn speaks differently as well, and Jake and Helen are voiced by completely different actors than those for the Season Episodes. Altogether, it had a different, more cinematic approach to scene's animation (the part where Daria slowly creeps up to Kevin's house during an exterior shot is not the way they typically did the show), and the writing has an Inferior feel to it.

I'm enjoying a marathon of How It's Made on the Science Channel. Later on, I'll be watching NUMB3RS on CBS followed by a House re-run on USA.

I've watch heaps of TV Shows since my last post, but I don't post here frequently, however recently I've watched:

Grey's Anatomy: Where the Boys Are
Grey's Anatomy: Staring At The Sun
Even though these episodes weren't as great as others in Season 3, I still loved watching episodes of my favorite Drama...especially before other Australians!

Family Guy: Saving Private Brian
Family Guy: Whistle While your wife works
Family Guy: Prick Up your ears
Not Memorable episodes, but still hilarious as always!

South Park: Go God Go
South Park: Go God Go XII
These episodes were seriously weird! Even for Matt and Trey!
South Park: Stanley's Cup
I had this episode as sort of background noise, it wasn't the best way to end a season.
