No, Faline's mom is Aunt Ena. Bambi and Faline are cousins, c'mon you should know that one. Mena is the doe that was suppose to take care of Bambi but she got caught in a trap. Good job! :thumb:
Yeah they did a good job on the background and the characters definitely are more cartoony than in the original but we're in the 21st century now so what did you expect really?
I think the fart jokes are absolutely unnecessary but at least it'll be brief. I mean they're not going to transform the movie into Austin Powers. I mean those kind of jokes make the film loose it's dignity, it's really too bad that they did that.
The plot should actually be pretty good. I mean you got deer getting caught in traps and all of these chase scenes. Like when Bambi pushes Ronno in the mud. Oh yeah.
I got to get Bambi 2002 where he fights terrorist, goes to a Yankees game, monster truck show and it has a lot of classic cars. It's a good one.

Sorry, to burst your bubble and get your hopes down but you should probably take a look at this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bambi_II

Especially the part where it says... Eli Linnetz: Bambi (Singing)

I'm thinking the same thing you are... hell no!!!

 Christopher Lee is playing "Man of the Forest." I was hopping for Ian McKellen to do it that way we have a couple of people who were also in X-men. And the chick who is the voice of Mena also was the voice of Penny in the original cartoon series of Inspector Gadget... that's awesome. Oh and the lady who does the voice of Bambi's Mother was also in That 70 Show a couple of times. Yesssss!

Those clips were good. After seeing that, this DVD is going to be a rent at the very least. I've got to check this movie out. I especially liked the last clip where Bambi and the Great Prince are talking about Bambi's mother. I was actually disappointed when it ended; I wanted more.

"Flower, you just found your inner strength."

....

...

:brick:

Nobody in Bambi is supposed to fart, dammit. It's like an unwritten rule.

Wh-What? Disney better not have a human appear in this movie. They should've learned from the Inside Walt's Story Meetings segment on the Bambi DVD that showing the actual human takes the impact out of the terror of mankind.

I think it's just a background voice or something but he is in the movie. I don't know I haven't seen it yet. ;)

I am too a hardcore fan, but I think that one sequel is enough
Think about it, is better to imagine what happened to Bambi and Faline, to Geno and Gurri than make lñots of movies

Or we want Bambi to become a "Land before time" stuff?

Well I would still like to see Bambi, Faline and their children in a sequel. Maybe if they actually follow the book it could possible turn out to get good. But I've also heard that the book Bambi's Children wasn't really good, well not as good as the original so... I don't know but I still would like to see a sequel with them. You see they should of just done that in the first place than making a midquel.

well...for what I hear froma friend who read it, it isn´t as dark as the original book, what could make it a good Disney story without adding anything, because Bambi and Faline raise Geno and Gurri, not only Faline at it would suggest the Bambi book

Bambi's Children

Post by bambifan56 »

I actually got my copy of Bambi's Children in the mail today and have started on it. Disney didn't hardly follow the 1st book at all, if you read the first it was very dark and had many harsh truths. The 2nd has been alot more Disneyish than the first, a little more light hearted and compassionate.

The first book is a definate buy, I couldn't put it down...

Check out this groundhog... I mean just look at him, he's got that evil look on his face like he's going to start some serious s&*#.

Image

I wonder what he's up to. He's like "all for me... all for me!!!" The best way to find out is to watch the movie. He's probably starting something and there will be a side plot to the movie where he tries to dominate the world. That would be great. ;)

I need to find me a copy of Bambi's Children, I've been dying to read it despite what I've heard from it.

That's an easy one..........just go to www.bookfinder.com and you'll find lots of copies in just about every price range imaginable. It's probably the most complete book search site ( kicks the bejeezus out of Amazon as it's a general search engine that picks thru every book website out there INCLUDING the big A)......I've no doubt you'll be happy with the results. Good luck and happy hunting!

Yeah of course the anticipation is killing me, but I don't want the time now and before it comes out to go by fast. I mean school will change that real quick. ;)
