I just saw it! I was so impressed!


honestly, I was expecting it to be very comedic, judging by the trailers and such, but the humour definitely not used anymore than the 90's Disney films. It was much darker and much more serious then I was expecting, but exactly as I hoped.



It had so much heart and drama , definitely better than the PatF


Rapunzel I think IS my favorite Disney character ever, she is real, honest, kind, funny, strong, she is a great heroine


And Flynn is a much better character than the trailers portray him!


Gothel is EVIL! she is definitely a top villain, she is much scarier then a lot of villains as she has a very realistic relationship with R.


An Awesome movie, definitely will sit on par with the classics! infact I would even dare to say better than some of them just because of how great the characters are, honestly I can't get over how wonderful Rapunzel is!

Just saw it with my sister! I am very impressed with the animation especially in the scenery and often with her hair (although sometimes it did "clump").

Loved all the blades of grass. Loved the little flowers. Loved the Kingdom Dance. Loved the jewels in the crown.

Not a fan of Mandy's voice (speaking or singing) but I loved all of Rapunzel's little "glee" moments. Very very cute.

For anyone complaining about the modern language I was ONLY really bothered by the use of "freak out". The rest of the time I think the language fit well enough. The first song had one "modern voice flip" thing Mandy does which seemed out of place, but otherwise I think it was very folksy.

I would have liked to have seen Rapunzel discovering more things when she first got out of the tower.

My sister hasn't been reading/hearing anything about this movie and she turned to me and said "why is Gothel singing the Ursula song?" I told her some of you had said the same thing. She also thought the lanterns looked like marshmallows (I laughed, but it is a little true).

I loved the mime and he made me laugh the most the last time you see him.

Gothel was really scary at the end...you'll know what I mean when you see it. The rest of the time she was "typical Disney villain evil".

Flynn was a MUCH better hero than I expected. His personality is not too egotistical and is NOT like Naveen's at the beginning of PatF. He actually has a soft heart from the beginning. At least that is what I saw.

Rapunzel is adorable. She is a little too assertive/confidant for someone locked away so long, but I wouldn't have wanted her to be any more unsure and cautious than she was. She really made me happy. I'm going to let it sink in, but she does rank up there with my favorite princesses/Disney ladys (Ariel, Jane, and SnowWhite).

Overall, I am very happy with Disney's rendering of what has always been my favorite fairytale.

I've just saw it this afternoon in 3D!! Honestly.... MUCH MUCH better than I expected!!!!! Specially the end!! I don't wanna say any spoiler... But I just love the King and Queen, very heart moving! Rapunzel is just too much beautiful, amazing hair, Flynn's better than I thought too, I was specting a more annoying guy. He's adorable!! Ang Gothel! The complete diva!! Best villain since... I don't know! But I like her more than Frollo! Well! I can't wait to see it again in Spain with my friends =D

So, great story, lovely songs, very human characters, and the best CGI animation ever!!

so happy it deserves it!

though to be honest we do have to give it up to the marketing team, although the film is very, very, different then it is being promoted

hopefully people appreciate and love the movie for what it is, and that it is successful because of that, and not because they have been suckered in to seeing it from the promos

They are better, or more classy, than recent credits, such as in Princess and the frog, IMO. It is a parchment type backround with black caligraphy-like (if that makes sense at all) drawings of several items that pertain to the movie, such as frying pans and scissors, at various intervals of the credits. They are slightly "raised" from the rest of the screen. At thene end they also thank the pixar, I think they called it.. "Braintrust"? for their invalubale creative contributions.. or something like that. I found that interesting.

This movie was amazing. It exceeded my expectations by far, which is crazy because my expectiations were VERY high. I teared up at the beginning parts with Rapunzel asking her mother to leave the tower, though I don't know why. I didn't like the several scenes of her changing moods on leaving the tower. I felt it was too abrupt and broken up.. I know they were trying to get a point across, but think they could have done it in a better was. It felt awkward to me. The only other complaint I had is the small drunk cupid guy.. I loved and laughed at all his scenes, but hated how he was the last frame in the movie. It made the movie feel cheap. However, thoes are my ONLY complaints and, although it may just be the thrill of seeing it on the big screen, want to place it in my top 3 favorite movies. And this is comming from somebody who has been totally against CGI for years.. but this movie was so beautiful, the medium didn't matter, and CGI only added to it. Wow, never thought I would say that. My sister says its her favorite, although she isn't as into Disney as I am, and hasn't seen some of the classics as many times as I have.

the best CGI animation ever!!

Dude, I'm right there, with ya. I was able to catch a night screening of this movie, tonight, and I think it was worth the full price (although I admit I gave in to the spoilers, but that doesn't matter, anymore. ) It is one of the best, if not the best-looking CGI animated film I've seen so far, right alongside Legend of the Guardians (in my opinion, of course ).

I am really glad to hear that; I was really worried about the modern language being too jarring. Can't wait to see it, probably tomorrow or Friday.

From what I remember, there were a lot of "Wanted" posters with caricatures of the various people involved with the picture (such as the director, producer, writer, etc.)

When Rapunzel's hair gets cut and turns completely brown, did anyone else see a resemblance between her and Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2?

I agree about the cupid. I would have rather seen a wedding. Some of the concept art showed one! My sister complained about that as well even without seeing concept art.

TBH i am very glad that didn't have a wedding scene, it just wouldn't have felt true to the characters

Yeah, the background was the same as the paper used for the wanted posters. It was basically scenes from the movie drawn by Shiyoon Kim. You can see some of his artwork here: http://shiyoon.blogspot.com/ After that there were several items from them film scattered throughout the credits. I really liked the style of the drawings. They were unique.

I went to see it at 7:05, and there were probably about 20 people, probably 60% female and 40% male. I went with 7 people, all female, so we were pretty much half of the people. I loved it. It was so weird finally seeing it after waiting for more than a year for it to come out. It still hasn't really sunk in yet. First of all it was absolutely stunning. All the detail put into it was amazing. You could even see wrinkles on Rapunzel's light pink sleeves as she was about to take her first step out of the tower. I saw it in 3D, and it wasn't as great as I thought it'd be. I didn't really notice anything significant, but I was probably too focused on the details of everything. For the lantern scene, only one or two lanterns popped out. Regardless, the lantern scene is probably the most beautiful scene ever. Just absolutely amazing. It took my breath away. There was a lot of laughter in the beginning, especially with the scenes with Maximus and Pascal, of course. They definitely stole the show. Every moment of the film was used to advance the plot. There wasn't any filler at all. But I still felt like the pacing might have been too fast? I'm not sure but it might have been because I watched every single video they released so many times. So I was waiting for those scenes to pass to watch something new XD Another thing is I have to agree about the songs being a bit unmemorable. They were great, but did not play a major role, I thought, like the songs in The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast did. Which is fine, the movie has so much more to offer than the songs. Oh, and When Will My Life Begin (Reprise 1) was not included. It's like the classics, especially the latter half, and yet its own. Sorry my thoughts are so jumbled. It's just so much to process. I'll have see it again for myself

Yeah, but there's so much that you can fit into one movie, but they did a good job with only an hour and a half really.

Also, I'm still very confused about the reprise for When Will my Life Begin. I swear it played when Gothel left the tower for the first time. And afterward, there was a shot of Rapunzel's hair flowing in the wind.
