All those little freaks should be comfortable with their sexuality.
Society these days. Filled with bottom of the barrel nonsense.

The Morning Diz
http://animationguildblog.blogspot.com/ ... g-diz.html
On the first floor, the c.g. crew is working on Rapunzel* (*Which, for our purposes here, will be the designated title until the House of Mouse announces another.)

...

Meanwhile on the third floor, the story and visual development artists have finished work on Rapunzel. As we stumbled around, story artists were gathering for an Andrew Millstein and Ed Catmull meeting where they were going to get updated about future feature development. (Mr. Catmull and Mr. Millstein were coming up the stairs as we were going down ...)
From the comments section of that site:

Person A: "Read on another blog that Rapunzel's title is about to be changed, and that the leading contender is "Tangled.""
Person B: "I'm so disappointed. I was hoping for "Dude, Where's My Comb""
Person C: "I'm rooting for "Follicle! The Musical""

 I thought that those were funny.

I hate hate hate hate Tangled title...

Disney movies must to be immortal... Tangled is a title for today but in 2020, 2030 or in the future Tangled will be ridiculous and people will think that Disney is ridiculous to change a title for a classic fairy tale...

I really think that Tangled will be a disaster...

I hope this movie will be good, because when Glen Keane has been killed off from his role of director, I think that Rapunzel isn't what all people is waiting about this movie...
Glen created a dark, adult fairy tale, new directors is creating a movie for children, a comedy and not a fairy tale, I hope they don't create a comedy à la Ben Stiller, but I don't appreciate Byron Howard and Nathan Greno. Today, new directors not only destroyed Glen Keane vision of this beloved fairy tale, bur they want also to change title for a classic story... I'm so disappointed... Glen Keane, where are you? Why did you left your great movie to new directors who are only destroy all what you created in the past?

Well said. I suspected this was going to happen ever since Glen Keane was given the director's boot, and the "Bolt" director was welcomed in.... Not that Bolt was a bad film. I quite enjoyed it. But it wasn't "timeless" in the sense that "Sleeping Beauty" and "Snow White" were timeless classics.

I have another good title for you guys: "Legally Blonde: Escape from the Tower"

 How did you know that Glen was making an adult orineted version of this film?I thought he was thrown off because he couldn't finish the movie.I really hope this is more serious than all the crap that has been advertised to us.I gotta feeling that the new directors and the Disney company is fooling aroud with us.The character information, the animation still, the whole "It's a comedy, not a fairy tale" are all jokes!
This could still be an adult oriented film if they keep it cool.(In other words:don't let anyone know)

Unfortunately, Mr. Negative has a point. Nobody is comfortable with their sexuality these days.

If it is true that Disney is changing the title to "Tangled", I will be upset as well. Although, I don't think that the title will have a lasting influence on my opinion of the film in general. All in all, that should be true for everyone...

 isn't that a little hypocritical? Besides, we're a open forum. It's not up to you to tell anyone to stay out of anything. On top of that, he does make a good point. Afterall, little boys and parents of little boys are feeling uncomfortable taking them to see a film with a princess in it (even if it's not singularly about said princess). That looks like a sexuality driven issue to me.

Ok, now it is official: The movie has a new title, Tangled. (And Disney will also be making a animated movie, in CGI that is - 2D is no good, about Hannah Montana, and the Snow Queen will be reimagined and set in modern day New York starring Selena Gomez as the Snow Princess. But Disney will be avoiding any focus on princess or queen in the title, no says Disney, this is a modern comedy for both boys, girls and their parents wallet's.)

This message was posted on some of Disney's pages on Facebook; search for "Disney" and "Walt Disney Animation Studios" and you will find them:

"Hey everyone, I'm Roy Conli, producer of Disney's next animated film. I have some exciting news to share, and it was important to me that YOU guys – the Disney fans – hear it first. I want to tell you about Walt Disney Animation Studio's 2010 release, Tangled. It’s a really fresh,
smart take on the Rapunzel story.

In our film, the infamous bandit Flynn Rider meets his match in the girl with the 70 feet of magical golden hair. We're having a lot of fun pairing Flynn, who's seen it all, with Rapunzel, who's been locked away in a tower for 18 years.

I’m so proud of the crew working on this film – they’re doing a fantastic job creating an awesome story with great characters and a stunning world – and it's all going to look amazing in 3D. All of us
here at the studio are incredibly excited for you to see Tangled when it comes out in theaters this November."

Tangled, seriously? Should we expect pop culture references and a joke of a story with that too? It went from the classic Rapunzel to Dreamworks' next, Tangled (most of the public will probably expect that too). Seems like mis-marketing of this film by giving it that title (unless it really is Dreamworks-esque, in that case I lost all interest).

Unfortunately, the problem with the title "Tangled" is that it is rather forgettable and very vague. At least with Dreamworks' titles you know what you're getting.

I just think when they finally release a trailer for this and the announcer says.... "TANGLED, comingsoontoatheatrenearyou" people will forget about it by time they leave the theatre. I don't see many kids running around yelling, "I want to see Tangled ! Mum, can we please go see Tangled ?! PLEASE PLEASE !!!"

I'm sure they can come up with a unisex title that is a bit more descriptive (or at least a bit more catchy.)

In defense of Tangled... Up and Cars were pretty damn stupid titles. That worked out in the end. Disney's marketing can't change the content of the movie though.

The title is a DISGRACE to the Disney legacy! A complete travesty! And Disney will hear from me about this STUPID, STUPID, STUPID title change. I also find it a complete F U to everyone and their mothers that they are now completely sidetracking Rapunzel as a side character and try to put the focus on Flynn Rider. It's as if she just happens to be there. Even from his carefully worded, advised by overpaid useless marketing execs, synopsis. The lack of balls and guts makes me ashamed of this project now, after having looked forward to seeing "Disney's Rapunzel" for over a decade!

I literally SPIT on the title Tangled!!!

Professor, without knowing what the danger is, would you say this is the time for everyone to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?

Yes I would Ken.

How Dreamworks-esque of Disney. They're probably jealous of the box-office numbers Dreamworks draws in everytime.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those slap-stick comedy films. "Rapunzel, Rapunzel - let down thy golden extentions."
