Yahoo is now elaborating on the LA Times article. Disney needs to make a press release if this is in fact untrue, and not just a post on facebook.

http://blog.movies.yahoo.com/blog/177-d ... heyre-icky
LOL the comments on the article can be ridiculous
"The clip I saw above of Tangled looks like Disney promotes domestic violence & criminal activities, with the princess using a cast iron skillet to knock out the prince then stuff his body in the closet to cover up her crime. I am against the changes to the classic movies. You want more hip and action then come up with new stories (or writers) and leave the classics alone."
Oh boy... If using a frying pan, the OLDEST gag in the book of physical comedy, is considered promoting violence and criminal activity, then HEAVEN FORBID they show us Marx Bros., Looney Tunes and Charlie Chaplin movies.... THEY MIGHT CAUSE WORLD WAR 3, 4, 5 AND 6!!!!!! :o :o :o

Seriously, this is stupid. Let's think about it for a second... Rapunzel has been living in a tower for 18 years. The only person she knows is Mother Gothel, and she has told her than the outside world is scary and dangerous. Now, if you were in her situation and man suddenly breaks into your house or room wouldn't you grab the nearest thing possible and beat him with it until an answer is given?

Plus, she didn't hide Flynn to cover the crime, she did it so he doesn't come and attack her again. She is terrified and thus is acting accordingly.

But nothing will company to the fact that people believe that the Lion King is sexists because the lionesses do the hunt when in fact real lions do that.

So fed up with uncomplete, random and fake montage Disney soundtracks !!!! Watch the soundtrack i created below, the way it should have been ! Did it in the order of the scenes i had in mind one week after seeing the movie (Paris, Grand Rex, 17th November). 9. A Person In My Wardrobe
10. The Pact
11. « When Will My Life Begin » Reprise /Troubled Girl
12. Horse With No Rider/The Bird Has Flown !
13. Snuggly Duckling
14. « I’ve Got A Dream »
15. Escape Road/What A Lovely Lady/Water !
16. Greatest Reward For Stabbington Brothers
17. Firecamp/« Healing Incantation» Reprise 1 /Eugene/Dear Flower !
18. « Mother Knows Best » Reprise /Good Night

Entertainment Weekly's review is up, but read with a gallon of salt seeing as it was written by Lisa Schwarzbaum.....terrible. She gave Tangled a 'B', and I remember PATF getting a 'A'----and Tangled is by FAR the better film. Way to fail, EW. >:T

Well, I still love The Princess and the Frog. But I'm waiting to see if Tangled will live up to the Disney tradition.

But in the classic Gothel throws the Prince out of the tower and his eyes are scratched by thorns. That seems pretty violent to me.

I'm usually the first person to get upset when a story is changed too much (as in Hunchback for example), but I LOVE the Tangled storyline. It is a very skillful adaptation of an otherwise short fairytale.

I read, "The Art of Rapunzel (Tangled)," at Borders, and I find it very extraordinary. Glen Keane's arts are fantastic, and the previous designs of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider are amazing. I kind of hand it to Disney. They did a really great job putting their 50th animated movie together. I have a feeling that this movie will do perfectly well for this year.

You Americans are lucky, Rapunzel won't come to Norwegian cinemas before February!:D Oh, I can hardly wait^^

Have ordered the art of book and Alan Menken's soundtrack though, adore all his music (the best Disney-music ever created IMO)...

Ignore the Entertainment Weekly "B" review. The reviewer is known to be delusional and referred to Pascal as a "frog" so she probably didn't see the movie.

anyways, PEOPLE magazine gave Tangled 3 1/2 out of 4 stars and a glowing review! :D

The making of Rapunzel's hair with Kelly Ward. Really fascinating stuff. It's amazing to see how much work went into getting the final product. Around 8:00-8:15 there's a clip of Rapunzel singing "When Will My Life Begin (Reprise 2)" I'm guessing. From 12:10 to 12:30, there's an extended clip of "Mother Knows Best" and after that there are bloopers where Rapunzel gets really tangled up in her hair. It's pretty scary
Thanks. I really want to show this to everyone who thinks it would look better not CGI. It proves that her hair was FAR to complicated to animate traditionaly. I found the bloopers creepy though (I HATE the Shrek DVD animation "goofs" so watching a girl form a realistic hair ball around her head while her Mother clones herself freaked me out. XD

Will the Alaskan freezing rain stop me from attending the midnight showing of Tangled?
Well, still 5 hours 'til...the roads aren't getting any better. Hmm...

I found this review from ABCnews. Although it's not negative, it's not exactly positive. I kinda just got the feeling like he's not that reliable of a source, he comes off as not really being a fan of Disney post Beauty and the Beast.

anyhow, make what you will of it!
