I understand that but they should at least release an official logo/title card, especially since fan-made ones get passed as official by a lot of websites.

One website said: Here's the official title logo for Disney's Frozen! Problem was Disney doesn't use "Walt Disney Pictures Presents" anymore. They just use "Disney". Don't thses websites research things before they post?

And sure, you can criticize. But saying that the snowman will be much much much worse (again, based on next to no information) than some of the most reviled characters is any Disney movie isn't really a reasoned, well-thought out criticism. It's just hyperbole.
Exactly. This is my issue as well. I don't mind criticism - I complain about plenty hat Disney does myself, and those discussions are what I come here for. But there isn't even barely enough to talk about yet, let alone complain about.

But alas, qindarka... It seems we're outnumbered. I'll wait on the sidelines and look forward to when we have some substantial Frozen news. Hopefully soon.

Do we think it's time to start part 2 of this thread yet? And our title can reflect the title change?

I said that because I don't find the gargoyles as bad as you and others do. Based on Disneyfella's account, it sounds to me that Olaf will be much more obnoxious and annoying. It's not a hyperbole, it's imply an estimation based on personal taste.

You are putting too much stock in Disneyfella's account. All he had to base his opinions on were concept images which he didn't like and from which drew conclusions about Olaf being worse than Jar Jar Binks. He didn't have the character's voice, nor any lines or anything substantial. Even if he did have, I would have hoped you would not pass judgement based on second-hand information.

And on a sidenote, I don't really mind the gargoyles that much, either, save for the obnoxious 'A Guy Like You'. I am well aware of their reputation on this board, and among Disney fans in general, though.

I really should be writing this in Wreck-It Ralph thread, but what fart jokes have been revealed to be in that film? As far as I know the potty humour will be more of the "You peed your pants! Ha!" variety.

And I really should add that urinating is, well, different from farting. 8)

We don't know for sure that there will be fart jokes. We just heard that there would be some crude humour and initially used the term 'scatological humour' until it was deemed too pretentious.

What a fuss! I bet the film won't even have fart jokes in the end!

The 2nd trailer will be out next month. Until then I guess. The Ralph thread has been dead for the last week!

When, "Wreck-it Ralph," comes to theaters, I bet there would be a trailer of, "Frozen."

I actually like Grandmother Willow as a character, since she's more than an obnoxious sidekick like Olaf, but sometimes I remember that she's a talking tree. Somehow I think they could have made a better point about environmentalism and/or Native Americans without making the tree-hugger insult so easy to throw here.

And, since I haven't commented on it, I actually like that they've made the Snow Queen and the protagonist sisters. While I would rather see a romance like that of Kai/Gerda, it's at least something new to have a villainess be redeemed; female villains in Disney are rarely allowed to land in a grey area.

*Spoiler Alert*

More plot details surface!
This story is based on Hans Christian Anderson’s, The Snow Queen. In this movie we will visit a very beautiful new world. The emotional connection in this film is the two sisters. One is destined to be queen and the younger sister, Anna, is a free spirit. She is not really royalty material, and will be played by Kristen Bell. The older sister, Elsa, is the perfect role model of a queen and the townspeople love her. She has a dark secret though, she can control ice. There is a tale that someday the kingdom will be ruled by one with a frozen heart. Because of her secret, she fears that it may be her to whom the fable refers. She is played by Idina Menzel.

Somewhere the sisters have a falling out and Elsa’s magic powers are revealed to the people. She flees the village and creates an ice palace far away guarded by evil snowmen. A freeze takes over the village and Anna fears that the only one who can save them is Elsa, so she goes on a quest to find her sister. Along the way, of course she has to meet a huntsman or some other male type to 'save the day' and that’s where Kristoff comes in. He joins her quest, and along the way they meet Elsa’s “first snowman”. Now in describing Olaf, Chris asked how many of us made pancakes, and then he said, “You know how you usually throw out the first pancake? Well, that’s Olaf.” At that point Darrin Butters comes out with a hand puppet of Olaf and they ran some pretty funny jokes. So anyways, Olaf joins their quest to beat an army of threatening snowmen, and thawing a heart of ice.

In the end the two sisters make amends and everyone lives happily ever after. I forgot to mention that they had a singer come in and sing one of the songs. I think it was one of Elsa's songs once she was exiled. It was very beautiful.

Thanks for the info.

I'm a little surprised Disney would spoil the ending. Of course, it is entirely predictable and no one watches Disney movies for their plot, anyway.

Sooooooooo....the villains are a bunch of snowmen??!! -___- And yeah, I knew Elsa would be good at the end. You know what...

This sounds great, but I'm VERY dissapointed. The new plot is great, but it's NOTHING like the original story. Also, I'm let down by Elsa/the Snow Queen. She will be great, but I imagined the Snow Queen as an evil, Malificent-type villianess. But, no, it's actually a misunderstood, good young lady. :( Again, I look forward to it, but I imagine Frozen more like the fairytale. :(

I am also a little miffed about the plot changes but we really couldn't have expected anything else. Disney's modus operandi has always been to take elements that they like from the source material and use it to tell their own story, rather than making adaptations.

And despite all my 'complaints about complaining', I am getting a little skeptical about the snowmen. They had better implement them well because I am not too sure that I like the idea.

Me too. It sounds like something taken out of a low-budget Christmas TV special. Hopefully, it won't turn out as tacky and annoying.

I too share the hesitation... but I think, if done well, it could be great. There's definitely room for some great, fun character design. What if they went really dark and scary and it was like, Cauldron Born made of ice?

Maybe we'll get a Frosty the Snowman cameo :p

Snow Queen was never evil to begin with even in the original story.
