P.S. What does BFR stand for where it says, "Walt Disney Studios BFR?"

Let's see what title will be used in various countries:
Confirmed:
U.S: Tangled
U.K: Tangled (confirmed on disney.co.uk)
Brazil: Tangled (Enrolados)
Mexico: Tangled (Enredados)
Netherlands: Rapunzel
Belgium: Rapunzel (Raiponce)
Possibilities:
For Rapunzel:
France and other European francophone countries
Germany
Austria
Italy
For Tangled:
Latin American coutries
Spain
Portugal
Australia
Ireland
Malta
Overall, I think most countries worldwide will get the 'Tangled' title.

Don't you mean "complaints to that site"? Anyway, John K. (the creator of "Ren & Stimpy", as noted by the post above) is pretty well-known for his hard-to-please opinion when it comes to animation. Occasionally, he will like something that Bob Clampett didn't make (e.g. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Jungle Book), but he pretty much doesn't care for most major animation that gets released. He has even stated that he didn't understand how such "dull" characters like Mickey Mouse got so big. Occasionally, he will provide something insightful, but I would take a lot of what comes out of John K.'s writing with the understanding that he's hard to please. I'm honestly not surprised he doesn't care for Tangled.Polizzi wrote:My compliments to that site:tsom wrote:Um, have you guys seen this?

I only agree with very few of his criticisms. I'll give him that in the trailer we got lot of stock poses, expressions and gags as well as unimaginative designs for the characters. Besides that, we all here have criticized the tone of the trailer which many have already stated as being very "Shrek-ish". But since the buzz of the industry and the fandom indicates that the trailer does not reflect the actual movie then I don't really mind.estefan wrote:Anyway, John K. I also find Mickey Mouse kinda 'dull' too.

Problem is John K is a very important and influential person in the field of animation. Same goes with Michael Barrier and Michael Sporn, both of whom are very hard to please, and pretty much dismiss any of the contemporary Disney animated features.
I must admit that despite their criticism, I find their writing very interesting*. But if they are indeed right and the modern Disney animated features are as bad as they say they are, then I'm loving a bunch of bad films. I hope they're wrong.
*For those of you interested, these are their websites. They share a lot of enlightning information on animation in general (though Mike Barrier seems particularly fond of early Disney):

You forgot to mention how the newer ren and stimpy episodes, there was a lot of gay innuendo which makes it even more ironic.enigmawing wrote:One thing I've never gotten about John K.'s criticisms is calling certain characters gay, and here he is at it again. He stresses that he has nothing against homosexuality but at the same time he's obviously intending it as an insult.

Yeah, and I hate it when Ren & Stimpy were turned gay in the Adult Party Cartoons and god knows why everybody loves it (well, not everybody, but still!).Super Aurora wrote:You forgot to mention how the newer ren and stimpy episodes, there was a lot of gay innuendo which makes it even more ironic.enigmawing wrote:One thing I've never gotten about John K.'s criticisms is calling certain characters gay, and here he is at it again.
