They switched two scenes. Some people are bent out of shape over it, but I don't think it's a big deal.
I actually feel the same way. I understand it's a goof, but it's not like they cut out a verse from Under the Sea or anything but I do understand both sides. This however will not make me cancel my order. I'm still going to get it.

I don't think it's so much what the mistake actually is, but it is the point of it being there at all. Who the hell did it ? And who the heck let it pass through quality control or whatever Disney has?
It comes across as Disney really not caring about their home releases.
atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Yes, that's true. But to muddle up the sequence order on one of their films takes the piss, truly.
If we all noticed it, how the hell did they not?!
I can't be 100% certain that If I would have watched the Blu Ray without this being pointed out, I would have caught it. Most people who are not die hard Disney fans won't notice this. My 10 year old cousin I guarantee won't notice this goof. I do think there should be a replacement for it, but if not at least there's not a line from Under the Sea missing.
Heck I know I didn't catch the cloud issue on The Lion King Blu Ray until I read someone here posted it here.

100% in agreement. This forum is already a niche audience about Disneyphiles. The fact that we are debating the significance of this change means than 99.9% of the population won't notice or care, even if it is pointed out to them.
It's like if someone painted Ariel's baby toe in a single scene. Yes, it makes you question why the heck they would do that, but on the other hand, it has zero impact on the story or the enjoyment of the film and basically I have better things to do with my time.
I think you are kind of missing the point here - yes, Disney fans are the only ones who would notice, but still makes me feel indignant of them even doing that in the first place.

I have to admit, felt quite emotional hearing 'POYW' like that, with the original film introduction. I don't think I have ever heard it so beautifully. You hear it so often with Jodi's beautiful voice that you don't focus so much on the music itself....
Sicoe6256 wrote:So, everyone who has requested the score, check your email. I sent it via WeTransfer. If there's anyone who didn't get it, let me know.
Hey, I PMed you. Don't know if you can see/receive PMs or not, but I didn't receive the score.

I'm a Star Wars fan, but unlike most of them, I don't throw a bitch-fit every time a new alteration is revealed to any of the movies or make death threats to George Lucas.

I also think you are minimizing the screw-up myself, just as much as you think everyone else is overreacting. It's not like the one shot with the priest, whose bulge/knee was swiped out, it's an out-of-order sequence in the film's key scene. If it was in the scene where Sebastian spills the beans to Triton about Ariel's grotto or something, I doubt anybody would care nearly as much.
And thank you so much Sicoe! It'll take a little while for me to download, but I'm very grateful!
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
What a weird mistake. How does that even happen? Not that it makes all the difference in the world, but it IS a mistake. I don't get how stuff like this KEEPS happening.

Exactly! That is my point - how do these mistakes get past, and happen in the first place ?!
I know it isn't a massive section of the film, there is NO WAY we should be accepting of the fact "oh, it isn't that bad of a change." The fact is there shouldn't be ANY change at all to the movie!

I quite agree with this.
I have a question, who here will or won't buy the Blu Ray in light of this goof
I plan to buy it anyway, but it is frustrating like SWillie said how these mistakes keep happening.

I've already mentioned it but I wont be buying this if the mistake is not corrected. I may just wait for them to air it on tv and DVR it (I did the same for the lion king). Yeah it doesn't really compare, but at least they don't get my money for screwing up. I may even be a bit naughty and torrent it.
Matt wrote: Well they re-colored Cinderella and that didn't stop you lol! Just saying.
I'd say color alterations are more excusable since it doesn't change the flow of the shots. That's something that should be locked down from the storyboard phase.
