Unfortunatly i think we'll get the same cover as US for Cindy, just like Aladdin last october, unless France get an "exclusive edition" as the Lion King set.

Well that's not sure : what about the latest and newest release of the Platinum line, Bambi ? Europe doesn't have the same artwork as the US. (Un)fortunately, ithe Bambi cover artwork is even worse in Europe than in the US !
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...

I think that French cover is very nice, but the background needs to be changed. Since all of the characters (including Cindy herself) are taken from the Collector's Laserdisc, it's possible that that cover will change (Disney likes to use clipart from other editions as place holders until they come up with original art).

KinOO, I hate to say it but I kind of dislike the DVD cover. It's not exactly what I'd expect from Disney personally. Consistency is the key, and styling of the cover must keep that consistency. While I'm sure that yours would work for the European market, in the North American market it doesn't fit the style already established for Disney's 2-disc sets.

Good job on making it look amazingly real, but I'm afraid I'm still not a fan ;)
Cheers!

I really like that French cover. Cinderella looks really pretty. However, I also doubt Disney will use something like that for other releases.

Yeah... I've heard a Cinderella 3 is in the works...
Anyway, I guess it'll be marketed for silly little girls.

About the cover I really hope they'll change it at least a little bit. I preffered the one with just Cinderella holding the slipper... but if they want to show the prince, Ok... just re draw her face because she looks pretty ugly in that angle. don't you think?

How come everyone dislikes the cover art for Cinderella? I don't see anything wrong with it, I actually like it

Unfortunately, nothing yet, otherwise I would've written out a 5,000 word post on my thoughts by now.

I actually like it, too. My only thing with it is that Cinderella and the Prince should swap places (so that we see Cindy's whole face, making her the focus of the cover) and some tweaks on her (make her hair reddish brown like on all the previous covers, and her face look less masculine). I'm not sure if my first wish will come true, but I'm positive the second will because there's yet to be a Platinum cover that's stayed the same from the preliminary artwork until the final.

Because the movie is about CINDERELLA falling in love with the Prince, therefore, the focus on the DVD cover should be made on Cinderella's FRONT (revealing her face) rather than the Prince! :)
But I guess that is the final artwork  so I'll just have to live with that.
