The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is one of the years best films, and a soon to become classic. Disney certainly knows what they're doing with this film..." *** 1/2
King Kong "Most noticeabley, would be the heartbreaking climax, which has easily become one of the most emotionally intense scenes I have ever witnessed...Peter Jackson has once again mastered the art of fantasy, with King Kong - in my Top 5 of 2005." ****
The Producers "Susan Stroman's The Producers is a highly enjoyable romp, which does both the original film and musical justice. Go ahead, spend a little time with Max & Leo. You won't be disappointed." *** 1/2
Rumor has it... "The film, obviously pulling for comedy does try to mix it up with drama, but the story ultimately works best with laughs, mainly due to the weakness of Griffin's script. Bottom line - the film really is not funny enough." ** 1/2

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Sweet and charming and a major improvement from the overrated Nightmare Before Christmas. Burton's short stop-motion picture is thin in plot but packs a nice, hefty emotional punch. Bonus points for using an archetype that is somewhat shunned in this male dominated society: the male aesthyte. The character design and set design were very strong, the voice cast was uniformly pleasing. I would hate to choose the Best Animated Feature of 2005. Grade: B+

Also, does anyone have the list of songs from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride? I would like them in sequential order because I can't remember the lines/themes, but I do remember there order. Thanks, this would be helpful in my year-end awards selection.

The Producers
This movie was very musical and comical. However it lacked in all other areas. The plot was choppy, the characters were flat and static, and the acting was poor by most actors. This movie did have its good points. It made me laugh. However, it really did not deserve the Golden Globe nomination. 6/10
The Family Stone
Talk about chaos. So many characters make it hard to follow few the first few scenes, but afterwards you learn the characters. However many of these characters are flat, and the acting is poor by all the actors save Claire Danes, who really deserves to do better work. I am suprised that Diane Keaton did so poor. Where was the emotion? The comical parts wern't funny, and the sad and dramatic parts wern't sad. 6/10

Sorry I LOVE that film and I think more than deserve the 4 Golden Globe nominations. Oh well. To each his own.
