Well, I've not posted for a while on this thread, certainly not all my DVD purchases, but a big batch came today so I thought I would mention it:

Freaks
Really looking forward to the documentary and commentary on this. I'm sorry to note this is in an aramay and once again Warners have left out an insert. I hope everyone who demanded Warners use Aramays or took part in stupid boycotts are happy with this cheapening of their product presentation. I much prefered the Snappers.

Cartoon Network Halloween
Just for Bravo Dooby Doo. Note to Scooby Doo film creators, this is how you spoof and satirise the Scooby Doo formula. Not fart, burp and Scrappy relieving himself jokes.

Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Yes, because I must, or else I could never show my face on this board again.

Something Wicked This Way Comes
Because I was expecting something much better to be done with the disc, but ended up being disappointed.

Sealab 2021 vol 1
Never seen a Sealab 2021 before in my life. But I like the other Adult Swim stuff. Already reading the episode summaries I'm itching to see it. Nice packaging too.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force vol 2
I love ATHF, it has me close to tears at times. Excellent packaging. A 2 Disc Digipak with sleeve and a slipcover too! Sadly, the slipcover doesn't open like a book. Curse you Warner Brothers for making a slipcover with no book opening mimicing properties!

Showgirls VIP Limited Edition
See the MMB Showgirls review thread for some SHOCKING news. :(
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

This is kind of a funny story:

I was trying to clean out my room for things to sell at a garage sale, and I found some old Star Wars DK books that I bought about 5 years ago. They were in really good condition and they still had stickers from Borders bookstore on the back. For the heck of it, I took them to Borders to see if I could return them for some quick cash. They ended up giving me $90+ in store credit! So I blew it on the one thing I've never been able to save up enough money for: Alien Quadrilogy. Whooo-hooooooooo! (oh wait, now I'm broke again ;) )

Just got Zombi 2: 25th Anniversary Special Edition in the post, which is an awesome 2-disc set.

Also thanks to a kindly Christian aid worker, this week I've bee granted some Batman Animated DVDs; Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me; The Ring (US); Amicus Collection and Manos: The Hands of Fate (MST3K version) among others.

Strangely, I managed to resist the tempation to spend all my money last night with about a dozen worthy titles getting a local release date this week.

Got Ella Enchanted earlier today, and just finished watching it about an hour ago.

I thought the movie was great, the documentaries and such, however, are mainly just fluff. But then again there's still that audio commentary, which should be good.

Ok, I've realized there are a few I've missed and I've bought a few/received a few free review discs since the last time I posted (which wasn't that long ago!).

Problem with working more is that I have the money to spend on DVDs, but no time to watch them :)

Anyways...

- Eegah
- Glen or Glenda
This week:
- Unforgiven: 2-Disc
- X-Files Season 8
- Springtime with Roo
- Simpsons Season 4
- Bourne Identity: SE (review disc)
- Sin Eater (aka The Order) (review disc)
- Ran: 2 Disc (review discs)

All I have to do now is find time to watch them all!
