Based on this no Academy Ratio version there. Yes the movie was filmed in both academy ratio and CinemaScope.Sotiris wrote:Bonus Features on the Brazilian Blu-ray/DVD:

I rather have all of my Disney collection in HD and no extras (with expections of alternative version film, such as this one we are talking about in this thread as it was filmed in two Aspect ratios. ) Rather than bunch of Extras and no HD.milojthatch wrote:I'd buy into that notion except that bonus features have been one of the things Disney uses to get people to ditch DVD for Blu-ray, and now Blu-ray for Blu-ray 3D. It has been used in advertising as part of the list of reasons fans should go Blu. It seems to me, after putting so much energy into trying to sell people on how much more superior Blu-ray is, they'd do a better job of making that a full reality. People who just care about the movie alone buy DVD's still, like my brother. It's cheaper and why would you care about the extras normally found on Blu-ray's alone, if you hold that view anyway?singerguy04 wrote:Perhaps Disney is just under the impression that the hard core collectors that care about the bonus features have the DVD's. They only see a point in placing new features on these releases instead of recycling older ones. Afterall, we have to admit that most people (including many of ourselves) buy the blu release for the film itself, not it's extras. It could be that Disney sees the older PE extras are somewhat dated as well.
I'm not really defending Disney in not created more and better extra features, but I don't find any use in crying over features I already own.
Odds are, folks that care about Hi Def are also going to care about extras. However, folks that care about extras are not necessarily going to care about Hi Def. That is why Disney has done a great job of stripping the various DVD releases down to nothing. I'll admit, the few Blu-ray's I've personally bought are becuase of extras. If it wasn't for that, I'd still be 100% DVD.

Thing is they don't care what the customer think and they only care about your money.Christopher_TCUIH wrote:^ I wouldn't care if these releases were crappy if it weren't for the insert in the Snow White case that said:
"<b>and featuring groundbreaking, state-of-the-art immersive bonus content with an unprecedented level of interactivity, personalization and customization</b>"
They made it seem like we were quite literally getting diamonds. So it's a joke when they try to pass off the release as "2-Disc" for including a DVD with every packaging. And now a digital copy to make it seem more amazing and "groundbreaking". And on the Lion King it says one of the bonus features is the Digital Restoration.. I thought that was a given but aparently we're lucky to even get them restored "before their original brilliance" Haha idk... they have some crack-head marketers

To be honest I don't care about covers. DVD/Blu-ray VHS, all I care about are uncut films i.e no censorship (original titles if possible) and correct aspect ratio.SWillie! wrote:I'm surprised there are so many who don't mind the DVD cover. The characters are horribly off-model... almost as much as the newest Beauty and the Beast DVD-only cover. I can't even look at either of them without my eyes bleeding.

Just a quick note for anyone concerned about DVD bonus features apparently being missing:
Lady's Pedigree: The Making of Lady and the Tramp (52:38 ) is a seven-chapter documentary. The chapters are:
--Return to Marceline (5:27)
--A Perfect Little Lady: The Story of Lady and the Tramp (12:14)
--Ruff Animation (11:32)
--Canine Chorus: The Music of Lady and the Tramp (8:01)
--Teaching a Dog to Talk: The Voices of Lady and the Tramp (4:28 )
--Pretty as a Picture: Art and Design (8:20)
--Epilogue: Return Home (2:34)
The Blu-Ray fact sheet only has it listed as "Lady's Pedigree...", but rest assured, all the featurettes will be included.

^ OH, man, the covers just above, in the blue and silver with the title correct, are exactly how it should be! Though we should still be getting NEW ART instead of recycled!
MY THEORY on the sideways titles: to make the films stand out, so people recognize them instantly as DISNEY'S special movies. That's why they keep doing it, I think. Too bad it makes them look special in the special ed way.
It's a stupid idea and they need to stop it or come up with a better one.

Well, the reason we like it is because of the composition and general design, especially with the horizontal title, plus the fact it is NEW art, and I think that's why we all like it. The characters being on-model just seems secondary with how good the rest of the things about the cover is.SWillie! wrote:I'm surprised there are so many who don't mind the DVD cover.
