Yes, it was for the Beauty and the Beast collection of feature film and DTV films.

I am pleased with the "final cover", but actually think that Aladdin's face looks more acurate in the first cover then in the later covers. Everything else I like so it really is not too bad. I am just happy that they are keeping a somewhat consistent look to the covers. They all look so great!

Wasn't Lumiere on the spine for BATB? What's wrong with putting Genie on the spine if he was one of the main characters?

Um...over at Amazon Aladdin has the "First time on DVD" banner and not the Platinum Edition banner. Is it because Amazon is behind or something? I thought the final Aladdin DVD would have Platinum Edition.
I guess Amazon screw up.

Yeah, so they can't be charged with inconsistency... and Genie is a little more qualified than Lumiere... but it should have been Belle & Beast on the spine and Aladdin on this one.

Thanks! Ursula is by far my favorite Villain and character from Disney (right up there with Mickey)!

As for the picture on the spine... I agree that it should be the main character of the film. I don't really mind it so much but it would be nice. It seems that they are putting all the "fan favorite" characters on the spine of the DVDs (Lumiere, Genie. etc) However, I think it is wierd that they used the main characters on Snow White and Lion King and not the others. I think Bambi can almost be guaranteed to be on the spine.

Maybe it skips every other release  . I bet Bambi will be on the spine of its DVD and Gus or Jaq will be on the spine for Cinderella Platinum Edition.

Well, if the pattern is true, then Bambi would actually be on the cover of his movie's spine, with Gus or Jaq on Cinderella's (like Kram said). I really hope this isn't the case, though, because it really does bug me to see sidekicks on the spine of a movie's cover, ESPECIALLY when the film's title is that of the main character (Aladdin, Bambi, Cinderella, etc.).

Have to say, the Aladdin in the most recent image looks absolutely nothing like the character in the film!!

On the Dutch DVD cover of Beauty and the Beast Lumiere wasn't on the spine. Belle and the Beast are on that spine.
Disney's musical Tarzan. Coming to Holland 2007.

Well, we had two versions over here. A 2-disc (that one doesn't have a spine) and a 1-disc.

Here a picture of the one disc:

And here of the two disc:

Disney's musical Tarzan. Coming to Holland 2007.

Since the Disney people are singing "Whole New World" I wonder if there is gonna be a Disney Mania 3. I hope so! I like to hear the songs sung in another way, it doesnt mean they are messing up the original, its not like thats the only version thats left and they are gonna replace the original, they are just singing it their way. I like to hear the reinventions of the songs myself!

I can see you people here dont like change much...

I personally think the "First Time On DVD" banner looks tacky. I don't mind them having it, but it could look a lot nicer. I also noticed that this is the first title in a while that does not say "Walt Disney Pictures Presents". It has reverted back to the simple "Walt Disney" that was displayed on the DVDs of Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and all the gold collection titles.
What would this wretched world be like without Disney?

Well the cover with "First Time on DVD" will not be used, so there will be a "Walt Disney Pictures Present" above the logo.. Look at the final art:

The cover looks horrible, but I have no doubt it's gonna change (for the better, I hope). First, the "First time..." banner is very unnecessary - why is it important to note "Aladdin" is first time on DVD?!

Second, Aladdin and Jasmine look laughably ugly! I seriously thought it was some sort of a joke when I first saw it. The drawing looks rough and not aesthetic AT ALL!

Thirdly, they should leave the "Walt Disney Pictures Presents" there! If they started it in the first 3 releases, they should continue with it.

EDIT: OMG! LOL, I sent the reply and then I saw the final cover LMAO!
Well, two wishes have been granted... But now Aladdin and Jasmine look better I must add. OK, I'm pleased enough.

Even though I think we've all discussed this enough to death.... "Walt Disney Pictures Presents" should be included on ALL the Disney films after Walt's death. The movies from his lifetime should say "Walt Disney's ------". Something like Tarzan definitely should not have that title included on the cover, whereas like was done with Sleeping Beauty, Alice, Fantasia, Snow White, etc. it should be present.
