Today's purchases

$15 at The Real Canadian Superstore. I used the $5 off coupon. The price was $17 and came out to $15 with tax.

3-Disc set with booklet attached to the inside of the DVD cover. This set is exclusive to The Real Canadian Superstore in Canada, and Target in the US. I used some shoppers points for it so it came out to being $11.

I've been meaning to pick it up ever since it was announced as being OOP, but haven't gotten around to it yet. But at the same time, I really didn't care for the movie when I saw a few months ago, and don't want to buy it just because it's OOP. Still, if I bought it now and sold it 2 years from now, it'd probably fetch a pretty penny.Tomorrowland Man wrote:
And my local MovieStop has 8 1/2 for only $14.99, so I'm gonna try to get it soon.
Anyway, I got a pleasant early Christmas present the other day from my sister Jane:

Went a bit crazy in Amazon's $5.79 clearance sale of classic Warner/MGM releases. Many of these will be part of my Christmas swag.
Grab these DVDs while you can, because most are strongly rumoured to be going out-of-print. I suspect that Warners wants to devote more factory space to the production of the Archives titles.
If I still had any major gaps in my classic movie collection, they are definitely filled by now...

The Ritz
Tom Thumb
Madame Bovary
Where the Boys Are
Time After Time
Three Musketeers
Prisoner of Zenda (double)
Summer Stock
Ivanhoe
Man Who Came to Dinner
Miracle in the Rain
Warner Romance Classics (Palm Springs Weekend, Roman Adventure, Parrish, Susan Slade) $19.99
Three Little Words
Words and Music
Till the Clouds Roll By
A Midsummer Night's Dream
I Remember Mama
The Clock
Baby Doll
Night and Day

Whew! What an exhausting Black Friday! Got home from Thanksgiving with the extended family at 1, didn't sleep, started getting ready at 4, went with friends to Wal Mart at 5, we were done within 10 minutes, but we waited in line for TWO HOURS. If my friends weren't buying Christmas gifts I would have put my DVDs down and said forget it, but that wasn't the case.

Friday The 13th [2009 - Killer Cut], $5.00 at Wal Mart (blind buy)

Lucky You [Widescreen Edition], $2.00 at Wal Mart (blind buy)

Borat [Widescreen Edition], $2.00 at Wal Mart

Zack and Miri, $3.99 at Best Buy

Wedding Crashers: Uncorked Edition [Widescreen], $3.99 at Best Buy

Supernatural: Season 4, $14.99 at Best Buy

Paul Blart: Mall Cop, $5.99 at Target

Friends: Season 2, $8.99 at Target

I was in a Peter Jackson mood, and yes I didn't have these in my DVD library yet so I picked them up. Also The Real Canadian Superstore still had No Tax day so that's why I got them:

$24.99 6-disc trilogy set in a Steel Book case

$7.99
If I start watching these now, I figure I should be done by Sunday.
And as a Christmas gift for someone I got:

$22
