I watched a movie that I had wanted to watch for months, and had bought in a box set a few months ago, and just got around to watching it: The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer. I loved it! It was really funny. Anything with Cary Grant is great in my book, though. A+!

I just watched Live a Little, Love a Little, starring Elvis Presley. The trailer is a bonus feature on the DVD, and I watched that first (I bought an Elvis box set a few months ago but hadn't watched any of the movies yet); the trailer made it look not too good, but it was a really fun movie! I enjoyed it.

Watched Enchanted again last Tuesday. Like Mary Poppins a perfect movie for putting all troubles and worries aside for a while... and it's so funny!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Now, I'm a huge X-Men fan. Grew up on the 90's animated series and I also read the comics so I'm pretty familiar with the source material, so the tiniest differences from them make me cringe. There were a few differences in the film, but none as horrible as the abomination that was X3.

Overall, I thought it was a fun little film. Was it amazing? No, not really. But it is what it is, a fun summer blockbuster that lets us jump back into the world of our favorite mutants.

Yesterday I watched 2 movies. Man of the House (the Disney movie)...I give it an A. I always liked Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and I hadn't seen this movie in years. It's really fun. Then I watched Hairspray (the newer version). It was so funny & had such un-PC jokes in it- I loved it. Great music, too. I give it an A+, I think.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Pretty decent film. I didn't think it was nearly as bad as reviews made it out to be. More thoughts in the appropriate thread.

They are all excellent films; I would really like to have the first two on DVD (preferably Blu-ray whenever/ifever they come).

The Spirit - I honestly don't know what to make of this film. On one hand, I don't think it was as bad as critics make it out to be, yet on the other hand, I saw it as just as much of a comedy than an action film. Either way, I'm glad I saw it, but I don't think I'll be watching it again.

X-men 3 was on FX tonight. Hadn't seen it since it was first on DVD, so I watched it and thought it was acceptable. OF course no where near 1 and 2.

Part of that was filmed at my school. We had part of that set on one of our soundstages for a while.

I watched The Producers (1968) a couple nights ago. Gene Wilder is one of the best parts of the movie, Matthew Broderick is no comparison. I know that they are two different versions being one is a musical and the other is not, but Gene is a lot better at playing the off the wall characters.

I watched Twilight (2008) with the Rifftrax.

The film itself is garbage beyond belief so it made the jokes all the more funny and it was lots of fun to watch it with commentary ("line.....line.....line...."). However, I felt quite disgusted after sitting through the whole thing and sorta like an undead zombie myself. How some people can enjoy this film or take it seriously is just sad.

I could rant about how vampires shouldn't have reflections or sparkle at all but you all know how bad this crap is.

Twilight really is a mixed bag for me. Some days I love it, yet other days I really get annoyed with it. Either way, I definitely enjoy the books more.
