I'm soo excited!
Too bad Disney is out.
EDIT: I just realized this isn't Disney anymore...

Walden's still making it, so quality shouldn't be as worriesome as the logo change.DisneyLuver wrote:ajmrowland wrote:Yay!![]()

I wonder how much the features will be butchered.![]()
That was my immediate reaction as well.![]()
But I have a feeling it won't be as "magical" as it would have been if Disney made it.. .

It's too bad they split this series up. As you mentioned with the Terminator series, we probably won't ever be getting a boxed set for the first three movies, maybe for this new trilogy coming out. It also kind of messes things up at the theme parks, for instance, Universal Studios has the T2 4-D attraction, and Six Flags is getting that new Terminator: Salvation roller coaster. If there is a series of movies, I'd prefer them to be all represented in one place or package (e.g. Star Wars or Indiana Jones).Disneykid wrote:From what I understand, Disney still has distribution rights over LWW and PC. While it's possible Disney may sell it off to Fox and/or Walden, I doubt it'll be the case, or that decision would've been made already. So I think when all is said and done, the first two Narnia films will be Disney and the rest Fox. It's really not unheard of in Hollywood. MGM released the first Terminator movie, TriStar did the second, and WB the third (and upcoming semi-reboot). Columbia distributed the first Hellboy film while Universal came out with the second. So while it mildly bothers me that Narnia is broken up between two studios, I'm just going to remain grateful that the series is even continuing at all, especially with most of the same cast and crew. What I'm curious about is whether or not we'll get a new logo for the franchise since it was Disney's marketing department that came up with the current one.
Do they own the rights to any of the other Chronicles of Prydain books or just The Black Cauldron? If Disney feels they need a fantasy series, they could get into this one some more. Maybe a live-action version.ajmrowland wrote:Maybe. I heard that what drove them into Narnia was that they were kicking themselves for turning down Lord of the Rings.
