I sure do hope so.rs_milo_whatever wrote:i think we'll be able to call this one a Disney's animated classic, and i'm desperately wishing it will be the same with the following animated films.
The picture of Tiana looks really good! I wish Rapunzel looked like this, but if The Princess and the Frog pulls it off and makes the "Classic" mark, I won't complain.

The Princess and the Frog - First Picture of Tiana!
THANK YOU Ariel'sprince and Disneykid!!!!
And yet...I'm not all that excited. Of course I think the picture is beautiful, it's just not...impressing me. Rapunzel's CGI shots impressed me more. But I will wait for more pictures eagerly. I don't want her princess dress to be just white, unless it's a wedding dress.
I, too, am reminded of Peter Pan. I'm really glad this is The Princess and the Frog, because then it's like the original tale instead of doing the "female spin" they proposed or the actual Russian tale. Wikipedia says The Frog Prince, or the well-known version, is German and comes from the Brothers Grimm. Disney has possibly done Germany with Snow White already, so I'm more appeased with how this is looking than before when I we had different/less information.

You're wellcome,blackcauldron85and Disney Duster (the avater is beter?)
(also Disney Duster-i"m suprised you didn't noticed that her dress looks like Cinderella's wedding dress).
It does reminds me of Aladdin and Peter Pan (the balcaney and her pose).

That's what i said.sotiris2006 wrote:I don't like her short hair. It's just not working. It reminds me of a little girl instead of a 90s Disney Princess. The character design of Tiana is not bad but not really impressive. Hopefully it will get better. Anw, it definitely got my hopes high for this movie.
Her hair makes her look like those black little girls dressed as Cinderella or Aurora or Belle from those DisneyLand comericals in which they run in slow motion to a girl dressed as Snow White or Cinderella.

Yeah, because only maids put their hair into buns.sotiris2006 wrote:Now that you mention it, it actually does. She's like a little girl maid. Let's hope there is controversy over this pic so they'll have to give her longer hair heheakhenaten wrote:the bun makes her look like a maid.
Its a bun on a little girl. I have a 9 year old daughter, I put her hair in a bun, she doesn't look like a maid. Tinkerbell had a bun, does she look like a maid?
Let's just give her long hair to shut up moronic people who wish to create controversy? I rather see more Disney girls WITH shorter hair, so they can break the mold a little more. Her hair is probably Cinderella's or Tinkerbell length to be tied in a bun. It's probably longer than Snow White's.

Yea, I like the avatar better now, but it would have been nice to see something not in the signature, like her crown, if it could still look good. I'm picky, LOL. I guess she looks like she's in Cinderella's wedding dress more than the others, but we've really only seen her and Ariel's (and Giselle's but hers is based on Ariel's after all, and I don't count her).Ariel'sprince wrote:You're wellcome,blackcauldron85and Disney Duster (the avater is beter?)(also Disney Duster-i"m suprised you didn't noticed that her dress looks like Cinderella's wedding dress).

Anyway, yea, I was going to say Cinderella had her hair in a bun for her princess and wedding outfits, but I'm not even quite sure what kind of hair-style that is, but I once read a retelling of Disney's version that called it a french twist. It's not the same as a bun. But I would look at Disney World's version, too.
