so i may be the only person on the face of the earth and i'm sure i'll hear a lot for saying this.. but personally i don't enjoy any of pixar's films other than wall-e and ratatouille. the others bore me half to death. the incredibles is awful just awful...i think finding nemo is mediocre and toy story is as boring as can be. wall-e and ratatoille both have unique styles and stories but i mean, ok a bugs life isn't as awful as the others.. but seriously pixar has never done it for me..

Seeing WALL•E changed my list a bit, so here's the new one with notes where necessary.
1. WALL•E - Didn't expect it to be this damn good, however I personally think Pixar hit a new high with this film. This is one that proves that they seem to be able to make any type of movie they set their mind on... never before have I seen a film that blends romance, sci-fi and comedy together so beautifully. Also, this is one of the few films that's part of the romance genre that I actually enjoy; and certainly one of the ones with the most sympathetic characters.
2. The Incredibles - Still a great movie; though I never expected it to be in my #2 spot.
3. Monster's, Inc.
4. Toy Story 2
5. Ratatouille
6. Toy Story
7. Finding Nemo
8. A Bug's Life
9. Cars - Absolutely terrible. For Pixar. Which means it's about comparable with the reasonably entertaining mainstream CGI movies. I still don't care for it, though, as I expect better from Pixar.

Up is almost here . . . my current appraisal of the Pixar canon . . .
1. Toy Story
Aside from being the first of its kind, a genuinely original and charming movie. There's a real earnestness in the relationship between Woody and Buzz. For its relatively short runtime, the movie packs a lot of heart and humor. Perhaps best representative of what Pixar can do.
2. Wall-E
Comes closest to the spirit of Toy Story as far as being able to captivate and delight. For all its commentary on serious issues, it comes off remarkably unpretentious.
3. A Bug's Life
A well-told story of heroics from unlikely places. I love the environment in this one. I don't think the characters are as strongly defined as the other Pixars (I would have a hard time recalling most of the names), but its undeservedly their most overlooked movie.
4. Toy Story 2
This used to be at the top of the list, but I'm more inclined place it about in the middle now, which is not a bad place to be. Unlike sequels that retread, this one continues the adventures of the characters and continues to define their relationships.
5. The Incredibles
An interesting mix of a stylized take on the superhero genre and an attempt at portraying a modern American family. Maybe the most cynicle of Pixar's output, and featuring some mean-spirited sequences (Mr. Incredible being tortured, thinking his family is dead), it still manages to be original in a genre that is being depleted of such and becomes fun towards the end.
6. Monster's Inc.
An imaginative concept, maybe skewing in the direction of a younger audience than the others. The buddy relationship isnt as strong as say Woody and Buzz, but the adventure delivers a lot of fun and humor.
7. Finding Nemo
The most overrated of the bunch. Enjoyable, with gorgeous animation, but overlong and episodic. Wears out its welcome with me.
8. Ratatouille
The antithesis of Monsters, Inc., seeming to aim for the more mature in the audience. I didn't find the characters as sympathetic as the movie expected me too, but the journey was interesting enough. I think the thing I like most about this one is the title.
9. Cars
I don't have a lot to say about this one. I think its the emptiest of the nine films, and not particularly entertaining. I know I wasn't asking for a sequel.

1. The Incredibles ~ Not an original story, but told itself in such a comical and snarky way that this film is my favorite to watch of all Pixar's work.
2. Toy Story ~ Can't really think of much to say except that this was as perfect as they've got.
3. Monster's, Inc. ~ Although Pixar has a problem breaking its buddy formula, I think Mike and Sully have been the best they've exceeded as far as real friends goes. I also think Waternoose, Randall, Celia and Roz were all good characters, too.
4. Toy Story 2 ~ The way a sequel should be--as good as or at least on the same level as the original. I liked the darker side of being a toy (being given up, forgotten, and treated like collector's items). Only gripes would be that Jesse was kind of annoying.
5. WALL-E ~ WALL E, the character, was hilarious, and made the film better than it otherwise would have been. The comedy is the best part of the film, because the plot had holes all over the place. The message was a good one regardless.
6. Ratatouille ~ The rat edge was slightly silly and the film was lumped with cliches ("I Want" and the disapproving father figure), but it has a charm that allows you to overlook most of that. Anton Ego was the biggest part of this film's success to me, excellently cast and voiced by Peter O'Toole. Skinner, Colette and Gusteau were also memorable and well-voiced characters. But I thought Remy, Linguini, and the other rats were all annoying. Still, I liked the whole atmosphere of the film.
7. Finding Nemo ~ For some reason, I don't remember liking this movie that much. Ellen Degeneres was definitely hilarious, and the highpoint of this meandering story, but I didn't really like Marlin or his son or any of the fish in the dentist's tank. This was another film where there were a lot of cliches, and I don't think this one overcame those cliches like Ratatouille did for me.
8. A Bug's Life ~ Heimlich, Hopper and the Queen Ant were the only likable or memorable things about this film. Everything else was cliche, boring or annoying.
9. Cars ~ I just didn't like this movie at all. It's best as background noise.
I predict Up will end up around Toy Story 2 on this list. And I hope The Bear and the Bow will be around there, too.

I find it impossible to keep a list anymore. it might as well look like this.
Toy Story 2
everything else
A Bugs Life
Cars
The everything else is interchangable. I'm sure UP will fit in that part of the list for me, but I do think I can safely say it'll be the most emotional one. More so than wall e.
I wonder if anything will ever top my personal all time fav...the only contender I think could be Toy Story 3, but even that probably wont do it. heres hopeing though.[/i]

6. Wall-E

8. Monsters, Inc.
9. Cars
I hate doing this, there's no choosing, really. None of them are bad at all. In fact, when I'm looking at the list, I already see some flaws in there. I might as well put them in alphabetic order.

I know I've done this before yet I haven't posted in this thread so I can only assume there's a similar one floating around.....
1. Toy Story 2
2. Monsters, Inc.
3. A Bug's Life
4. Finding Nemo
5. The Incredibles
6. Toy Story
7. Wall-E
8. Ratatouille
9. Cars
This is a somewhat flawed list, I haven't seen Wall-E yet, however I placed it where I think I'd put it, or could at least see it being put. But the rest of the list is pretty much accurate
