Bambi is not yet in the vault, and it should not be so until next January.

Isn't that something? A Wal-mart sales manager telling consumers that Bambi's in the vault! :o

Welcome to the forum, calster21! :eye:

Try Best Buy, Circuit City or Target.
There are lots of Bambi's there...

That's strange. There are shelves full of Bambi DVDs at my Wal*mart. Don't worry. As mentioned above, it's not going into the vault for a long time.
Also, welcome to the UD forums, calster21

I doubt Bambi would go into the vault before the sequel comes out.

My local Best Buy still has like 10 copies of Bambi on the shelf with the slipcover.

Actually I haven't seen Bambi anywhere. Your best to grab it when it first comes out. I rushed to get my copy the first week it came out. It's probably just sold out. And stores aren't bothering to reorder it. Or Disney only made a certain amount of copies. You can find it on vhs, but who wants a vhs copy.

I'm a bit confused about something very similar.

I thought Aladdinwas in the vault, but when I went to Borders yesterday I was stunned to see a lot of the DVDs as well as a number of gift sets. Didn't it go into the vault in January? :? Thanks.

No it didn't go back to the vault. This is how Disney works:
1. Release a Disney masterpeice on DVD.(Usually is October)
2. Release the cheapquels on DVD the year after that
3. Make all those films go back in the vault the January of next year.

So in other words I think Bambi and Aladdin(along with their sequels) will go back in the vault January 2006.

Oh, okay! I guess I was surprised there not just because I thought it would go into the vault in January 2005, but also because I hadn't seen it anywhere in ages.

It wasn't Aladdin but The Lion King and the sequels went into the vault in January but you can still find them if you're lucky.

I wouldn't believe anyone who works at Walmart when it comes to DVD information. They always say that if they don't have it then it's not available anymore, but if you look in a DVD store you'll find it. They don't specialize in DVD's so they usually don't know what they're talking about.

Sorry to anyone who works at Walmart, I work at Suncoast and we always have people come in and say "Walmart said this so whatever you say is wrong" or "Walmart says that this movie is available (when it isn't) so you have to order it for me" It gets annoying because then they get mad at us for Walmarts mistake.
