If that is the song at the end credits, I will be very happy. It's a beautiful song and fits Rapunzel perfectly!

I hate how they keep using random artists songs in the credits. Didn't they learn from that awful flop that Ne-Yo wrote for P&TF? I'd prefer something by Menken and Slater.

Blame Beauty and the Beast for starting the "let's have a singer sing the credits!" era >_>

Well, Elton John composed the music of "The Lion King" and sung the song in the credits, doesn't that technically counts?

Bummer, I liked the whole 'You are my forever' thing with the incantation song. Anyway.

Yes, but "The Lion King" was released in 1994, three years after "Beauty and the Beast" which started it.

sotiris2006 Your analysis of the soundtrack is juste perfect !!!!

RodryCroft, funny, 'was thinkin' the same : please god let me stay alive long enough to hear the fucking music !!!

Bad point, how comes Grace Potter has already a song with same title !!! ???? Or is the song, just a cover ? No creation ?... would be very lazy and irrespectful to Disney !

The song provided in the link is called "I Want Something that I Want" and was released in 2008. If indeed the end credits song in Tangled is just a cover or remix of their old song, the song cannot be qualified for an Oscar nomination. The song in Tangled is called "Something that I Want" which although the title is suspiciously similar with their old song, it still could be a new one that just happens to have a similar title or it could be affiliated thematically with their old song, something like a song 'sequel'.

I was at the grocery store a couple days ago, and I was reading the Tangled coloring book, and the 2 things that I remember not knowing about were:

(highlight to read, minor spoilers):

There is a cave scene and Hook-hand plays the piano at the end...

But that was actually a song from the movie, so that worked well....

Right. Technically Pocahontas and Hunchback were the first to have songs during the credits that weren't pop variants on songs from the actual movie, If I Never Knew You and Someday (even though they were intended to be but cut during production)

Though there was this pop song at the end of the Rescuers Down Under, which I loved as a kid. Wasn't there an english version??

That song wasn't in the English version. Hoo boy what did i miss?

I'm also getting sick and tired of seeing Flynn coming first. I'm sure boys have seen the trailer and they have figured out that it's really the story of Rapunzel. (Seriously Disney, wasn't a girl with extremely long blonde hair up in a tower obvious enough?) And I also find it extremely confusing that Flynn is the focus of the publicity and Rapunzel is featured prominently on the books. Schizophrenia much?

You can use that web, you only have to copy/paste the youtube link and after click on DOWNLOAD. There will appear a list of all types of resolutions available to the video. Then, you only have to click with the right button, and "Save as".

Hope this will help you =)

Though Tristy already mentioned it, no, we didn't have any tune at the end of the film. We just had a medley of music from the film's score, which is of course stunning, and perhaps more fitting than any pop song (and most certainly now not dated).

I just LOVE your fan-made cover. Wish Disney would use such cover art.
