It's so annoying, but films like this never seem to get big award recognition for acting; the closest one that came to it was Johnny Depp being Oscar nominated for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I could see her getting a Globe nomination though, for sure !
From what I have heard, the UK will have a "world premiere" tonight, do you think that we might see some early reviews from UK critics?
EDIT: The BBFC has officially announced the running time: "97 minutes and 18 seconds"... Oh well, as long as get more from that time like Frozen then I am perfectly fine.
Disney, Pixar, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Cinema fan
Oh no maybe Frozen is just inspired by The Snow Queen. I guess I have to accept that. And I guess Maleficent isn't an adaptation of Sleeping Beauty either, like I thought before.
That clip was great though! Angelina's acting is really good! And yes, this does appear to be directed very well, too!
Not exactly on topic, but this thread seems like the best place to ask. Does anyone on this board have a high quality version of this picture that you could send me? I'm looking into getting it as a tattoo and would very much appreciate a better version for those purposes

Don't know if legit, or sarcastic. But anyway, I was wrong, they ARE seeing the movie early after all! Quote from Elle UK: "We can't wait to see #Maleficent after previewing the costumes at #kensingtonpalace."

It's noteworthy that the dialogue is exactly the same from the 1959-movie.
Pretty sure that's not really a spoiler unless someone hasn't watched the clip, or paid attention to any of the previous footage I suppose.
But it is noteworthy that this is an exception in compared to the rest of the film. In some ways I'm glad they did it and released it first, in other ways I'm afraid it sets up expectations that won't be met.
in other news, beating a dead horse, but WDS officially confirms the RT of 97 minutes lest anyone was concerned there might have been a longer cut in the US.

The entire thing was great, James Newton Howard was so perfectly chosen for this movie!
Yeah, it was posted on a Facebook fanpage, but unfortunately it was already deleted by Disney. Hopefully someone downloaded it on time, and maybe they'll re-share it somehow.
