I'd rather that Maleficent loves Aurora for real. If it's from the curse it makes it seem fake.

Good point, though I think this whole idea of Maleficent and Aurora bonding with one another is an interesting idea that could work in both ways, though personally AcCooper20's idea is the more fascinating one.Disney Duster wrote:I'd rather that Maleficent loves Aurora for real. I follow Vogue / Instyle / Harpers etc on Facebook and twitter, and they are seemly constantly tweeting about the movie, from either the Stella clothing line, films greatest villainess, or just Angelina in general….good to see a lot of hype being generated for it! Though no covers, which is really odd.

Did you guys see that in France, in honor of Maleficent's theatrical release, Disney will release a new DVD collection of animated classics, featuring the Disney Villains on the cover? The collection will be:
1. Pocahontas (Governor Ratcliffe)
2. Lilo & Stitch (Captain Gantu)
3. Mulan (Shan-Yu)
4. The Emperor's New Groove (Yzma)
5. Hercules (Hades)
6. Alice in Wonderland (The Queen of Hearts)
7. Lady and the Tramp (Si & Am)
8. 101 Dalmatians (Cruella)
9. Cinderella (Lady Tremaine)
10. The Little Mermaid (Ursula)
11. The Princess and the Frog (Dr. Facilier)
12. The Jungle Book (Shere Khan)
13. The Lion King (Scar)
14. The Rescuers (Madame Medusa)
15. Peter Pan (Captain Hook)
16. Pinocchio (Honest John) ---> I find this a weird choice. I, myself, would have put Monstro on the cover, as he is more menacing
17. Tangled (Mother Gothel)
18. Robin Hood (Prince John)
I think it's safe to say they will be released on the same day that Maleficent hits theaters in France. It's so funny that they didn't include Sleeping Beauty in the collection, seeing as how Maleficent is the whole reason that this collection is being released. From what I read, Sleeping Beauty will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in France on June 5th, so maybe they'll include a cover with Maleficent then.
1. Pocahontas (Governor Ratcliffe)
2. Lilo & Stitch (Captain Gantu)
3. Mulan (Shan-Yu)
4. The Emperor's New Groove (Yzma)
5. Hercules (Hades)
6. Alice in Wonderland (The Queen of Hearts)
7. Lady and the Tramp (Si & Am)
8. 101 Dalmatians (Cruella)
9. Cinderella (Lady Tremaine)
10. The Little Mermaid (Ursula)
11. The Princess and the Frog (Dr. Facilier)
12. The Jungle Book (Shere Khan)

A really cute video interview with Elle as Aurora. You can tell how happy she is, being in this movie!

Thanks for posting those covers, Sicoe Vlad!
I think it's interesting Disney released a collection like this, and they actually look pretty good. I wonder if we're going to see more stories retold from the villain's perspective if Maleficent becomes a success..?
I don't really like how they used clipart from Cinderella III for Lady Tremaine, though. It doesn't make any sense, because she doesn't have a magic wand in the first movie.

Lol @ them using clipart of Lady Tremaine from Cinderella III though.

What is the official running time? It's been going back and forth, from 98 minutes on different websites and then back to 135 minutes.

I am leaning towards the 135 minutes, I've seen that everywhere. 98 seems rather short for this story.Musical Master wrote:Yeah that's a bit bizarre...WillytheDino wrote: Oh my god I need this in my life!

Hmm... Some of the t-shirts have a different looking dragon than the Diaval one... Plus here's a new pic of all three of the pixies in Maleficent.

Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville and Juno Temple look great as their peasant women form. Not to mention the shots of the christening and the official concept art looks really amazing.bradk wrote:24 new stills in hi-res plus 4 or 5 creature concept art
