Yes! Thankyou for the preview ariel'sprince! I've been looking for it for some time now (since I can't watch the imdb ones...)

edit: wow the songs fantastic. Simply because I was expecting a straight cover. It's practically a completely new song that covers "Once Upon A Dream". GO EMILY!

We don't have cutted (SP?) scenes.
And German menu's and subs and everything!
I avoided the cutted versions by importing:
Tarzan from Italy
Lilo & Stitch from the UK
Bedknobs and Broomsticks from the US

:o OMG I LOVE THIS VERSION OF ONCE UPON A DREAM!
'Once Upon Another Dream' completely sucked. This however is brilliant as it found away to pay tribute to the original song like no other version has been able to and expanded it into a beautiful pop song with cool new verses! Love it! WELL DONE DISNEY! :D

I don't really like this cover of "Once Upon A Dream"--if you could call it that. It doesn't sound good until she goes into the new lyrics and sucks when she's actually singing part of the original song. "Once Upon Another Dream" was better for me.

I really liked how they had the clip of Aurora running to her mother at "Once upon a dream..." It's the first time I've felt emotion seeing that. :P

Will this be released in the US, or exclusively in the UK or something? Does anyone have any information on the Sleeping Beauty Collector's Platinum Edition and Book Set??

I'm almost sure that set is exclusive to the UK - but if I were you I wouldn't fret too much. All you're missing is the book. The packaging, whilst pretty, is not ultimately important.

There, consoled? :)

It looks to be only a UK release.

This effing sucks, I'm so sick and tired of having to settle with BS releases compared to stuff like this. True, being in region 1 has it's benifits at times but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE if we were able to get packages like these for any of our disney films anymore. I'd be happy if it were just for the Balck Cauldron even! Granted that Nightmare Before Christmas did get awesome packaging imo, but Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney film and this kinda really cuts deep.

Germany is getting a similar set however it has a different "box".

Australia is also getting a DVD+Book set. I'm just hoping it's the same packaging!

If not, I may go for the Blu-Ray instead, although I'd seriously love the book anyhow.

If only there was a complete collectors gift set edition, with lithographs, signed pictures, postcards, etc. Ohoh how I'd love that!

singerguy04 ... the problem would practically be solved if in the US it were easier to get a multi-region DvD player and PAL compatible TV. Really, it's not fair on Americans. Living in Europe, I can find multi-region DVD players selling here like meat pies, and all TVs are NTSC compatible. Even if they weren't, the DVD players all contain a feature that decodes NTSC content to PAL and vice-versa!

With these advantages, I can always choose to import a US DVD when I turn up my nose at its European counterpart. And though it sucks, that's something you (or most Americans) can't do.

Btw, are PS3's completely and utterly region free?

I keep getting contrasting answers :( blu-ray discs are SO much cheaper in the US. It'll be a lot easier if I could simply import them from amazon.com or something and be able to play it on my aussie PS3. I'm not quite willing to pay $50AUD for the Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray yet...

we can however set our settings on computers so we can play whatever region we want, it's just that after so many changes the computer will suddenly lock into one region code and then you're stuck with that forever... or so i've been told. I think I'm going to look a lot more into that, and see what I can find out. I am really jealous though. There is still one hope however. The Disney Movie club released a really neat looking box set for the 45th anniversary of The Sword in the Stone. It came is special packaging, lithographs, a special booklet, the DVD, certificate of authenticity, and a holographic card. It's priced at $70 and I'm waiting to get it till after I get extra money on my hand. My hopes is that the Disney Movie Club will release the Sleeping Beauty PE in the same way. It'd be cool for a few reasons... 1.) I wouldn't need to be jealous of you europeans anymore and 2.) I said on here a few times how box sets exclusively for the club members would be a good idea because it would promote the heavy collectors into becoming club members and give the collectors what they want without sending it into the public and wasting money on releases that the company isn't sure will sell. Maybe they listened to me!
