More gags with R2D2! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still don't know why they cut out:
-Obi-Wan tells Padme of his worries about Anakin and that he knows they're in love
-"Crazy" Yoda and Chewbacca ambush an AT-ST
-Yoda lands on Dagobah

It was better when he only hinted he knew imo... :)

3) One other reason I don't like him is because he basically made most of episode 1 a kid's movie, and I felt that really hurt the story. Kids may like Star Wars, but that doesn't make it a kid's movie. It had serious themes in it and I think that's why episode 3 did so well: that movie got darker and it got people interested in the plot. Star Wars is supposed to have humor, but not gags, if you see what I mean. Jar Jar was just one gag after another, which made me hate him. And why put another comic relief character in when R2D2 is the funniest, coolest, and most useful comic relief character in the franchise (and he can fight too, as seen in Episode 3 8) ).
Well I'm not sure about the other 2, I agree with this one! He made the movie less serious and I got really bored because of it. I mean they a few slapstick jokes wouldn't hurt but this was non-stop. While it's funny in a movie like Pink Panther, I really don't think it belongs in Star Wars.

I could not agree with you more. He's my favorite character. I have wierd taste in fav characters. My favorite in Star Wars is R2D2, and my fav in Aladdin is carpet.

He probably wanted to include them, but he has to consider length also.

I don't know, I realized I was in the theater for two hours when I went to see Attack of the Clones. Before and after the Yoda fight, I was looking at my watch. The pacing was really off in that movie.

So The Return of the King can be about 28 hours but Star Wars can't be at least 5 more minutes.

Well, people think I have a weird taste in favorite characters because I like all the vilains! My friend didn't get how I thought Dooku's death was the saddest. Dooku could have been such a better character if he was used more. Dooku and Palpatine are my favorite SW characters.

One of the things I don't like in Star Wars is the fact that many characters are so underused. Mace Windu and Yoda each had only two battles in the entire 6-movie saga (well, Mace was dead in 4-6, so sue me). Dooku really got screwed. I wish they could have given him one more climactic battle but still follow the plot.

Well, maybe because I had Star Wars on the brain, but last Saturday Jane and I saw ROTS on DLP. No grain, which made me a little sad.

Now, my comments:

1. First of all, this is DEFINITELY a step up from 1 and 2. I take back my "I'll wait for the DVD" that I said on page one.

2. The first half of the movie I found completely stiff. Almost as if they had to show this stuff to explain the second half (which I define not by time, but by the part when Anakin figures out that Palpatine is Sidious). Things get better once that plot point is figured out.

3. Yoda kicks ass. My favorite character in all of ROTS.

4. What a sucky way for Mace Windu to die. At least he went out with his head held high (literally, since he was writhing in pain from the energy and the fact that his arm was cut off).

5. Now knowing that the withery little thing inside the costume is wooden actor Hayden Christensen (and later on Sebastian Shaw), I don't think I can quite look at Darth Vader the same way.

6. I understand now why it's young Hayden at the end of ROTJ. I still don't like it, but I understand now.

7. I haven't had time to read pages 2-lastpage. So what are the deleted scenes?

Yeah, but Yoda was a big part of ESB and ROTJ, even if he didn't do anything battle-related.

And now adding to my other post since I don't feel like hitting "Edit".

8. After seeing all six movies now, I think I'd approach them as so:
- Watch 4, 5, and 6. That keeps all the surprises that everyone had back in 77, 80, and 83.
- Then watch 1, 2, and 3. That helps give backstory to 4, 5, and 6.
- Never watch as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. It ruins a lot that you "learn" from 4, 5, and 6 (such as "Who's that little green guy annoying Luke in ESB?" and "OMG, I can't believe Darth Vader is Luke's Father!" and "Who's the boytoy ghost next to Yoda and Obi-Wan?").
- Sometimes, maybe I think it'd be best just to watch 3, 4, 5, 6, since 1 was a complete waste of time and 2 was like a prologue for 3.

9. I think 7, 8, and 9 would be an interesting story. I'll expect it in 10-15 years, even though Lucas said he wouldn't do them.

10. Dude, the last 5 minutes of ROTS were so old school SW, it was like someone pressed rewind on life and we were back in 1977. You could so easily take the last five minutes, insert it before Episode 4 as the prologue, then have a simple "15 years later" title card and cut to Episode 4.

Allow me to quote myself:
Pasta67 wrote:Oh, cool. That should be interesting. I was searching for deleted scenes for this movie and found a list of them, but I don't know if they'll be on the DVD; I hope so.

The deleted scenes are:
-Mace greets Palpatine and the Jedi right after the crash-landing at the beginning of the movie
-Yoda, Obi-Wan and Mace discuss the Dark Side in Yoda's quarters
-Bail and fellow Senators speak about the Senate
-Obi-Wan tells Padme of his worries about Anakin and that he knows they're in love
-Meeting with Organa, Mon Mothma and Padme
-Anakin informs Palpatine that Obi-Wan soon will have Grievous' head
-Jar Jar greets Anakin at Senate (Nooooooooooooooo! :( )
-Anakin confronts Padme (about what, I wonder)
-Republic cruiser arrives at Utapau
-Obi-Wan chooses his lizard, Boga
-Mace talks to Yoda on Kashyk, telling him of his plans to arrest Palpatine
-Padme presents the Senators' petition to Palpatine
-Utapau windmill (I have no idea what that will be about)
-"Crazy" Yoda and Chewbacca ambush an AT-ST (Crazy? Hmmm)
-Yoda lands on Dagobah (Aha!)
-Grievous killing Shaak Ti
-The Jedi using their lightsabers to escape General Grievous
-Underwater swim (Vague)
-Climb through shaft (Vague again)
-Many of R2D2's hangar gags (Yesssssssssssssssss! 8) )
-Many Palpatine cliffhangers (Vague)

Many of these titles are very vague, and I have no idea what some of them mean, but that's what the website said. I hope they'll all be on the DVD.
Whoa. Deja vu
I agree, watch 4, 5, and 6 first.
