Side note: I had a little chat with Marcia Cross on a train to NYC in April of 2000! I recognized her because my mom had been a big fan of... was it Melrose Place? Didn't think she'd ever get famous again! Very happy to see her doing so well on DHW

Avatars are used commonly on any website with a forum. Neopets even makes a big fuss about "a new avatar's out" and then the people on there have to do something on the website to get the avatar.

Is it true that there will be no more hand drawn Disney movies? Say it ain't so! Does that mean they will all be CG (The Incredibles, Shrek, Shrek 2, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, etc)

There's already a thread on this. There are a few more, but I don't want to look for them.

The future is looking bleak for hand-drawn movies, which is a terrible loss for many, including me. It's basically Eisner's fault; he thinks that hand-drawn movies aren't good anymore just because they're not CGI, which proves how blind he is.

after a few 3d failures, they will produce a 2d film if only to gain the publicity from doing so.

Hopefully. CG is nice, but nothing can match up to hand drawn animation featured in the Lion King, Aladdin, etc.

Well, um, currently Disney hasn't experienced an awful lot of failures in the 3D department. It will be quite a while, I believe, before the American public gets bored of Disney's 3D films.

Well if they balanced it out 50/50 I wouldn't mind. But I'm seeing more CG previews than I am animation preview. That suggest to me that animation is becoming extinct. But it better not or some heads are gonna fly. I mean hand drawn animation is what made Disney so great in the past, you'd think they use the same method that will keep it popular. Unforturnatly, now they're running out of creative ideas (not saying The Incredibles wasn't creative). But all I see know is movie's with animals (birds actually) and it's totally unrealistic, and sequels to classic movies (I think we had enough of that). So basically what I'm saying is that they need some movies that have some realistisity in it and not be CG and actually have a good story behind it.

well, I understand that, because as we have seen, the human character isn´t the CGI´s best work

They could do super real humans like they did on Final Fantasy but how long would this movie take? or they could do it Shrek 2-like, but here again, is Dreamworks...

anyway, If they do better animals than the ones f "Shark tale" or however it calls that horrible movie with the weird yellow and blue fish
