I grew up watching anime, but just the good old stuff, not that crap like Yu-Gi-Oh or such. I love Sailor Moon, Aishte Night and there was a great one that is finally coming out on DVD TOMORROW in Germany :pink: :pink: :pink: ATTACK NO. 1!!! In Germany it was called Mila Superstar and it was about a girl who dream of becoming the best volleyball player in the world. I adore this show and I'm so getting the new boxset.

Have you ever seen the 5th final season? It's really dramatic and darker than the other seasons, but it's not as dark as Sailor S (one of the best in my opinion). But you should definately see the final season it's the best!

Yes thats the episodes I'm talking about, in the end of Part 2 I can't help but laugh at the fact that she's nude and everyone is just standing in a circle around her acting like its normal   But yes it is a very powerful episode(s)

Yes, Metropolis was a very sad film. At first I felt the film as being mediocre, but the more I come to think of it, I like it better and better. :)

Would that be Sailor Moon Stars?? I have only actually seen Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon S as full series, but I have seen the first few episodes of Sailor Moon Stars, the 5th and final series.

Yeah that's correct, you should definately see the whole series beginning to end. It's a little time consuming but totally worth it.

I haven't seen Sailor Stars either! I've only seen the first couple seasons thoroughly, and I'm talking about the DIC versions. That's how I got really into the show, and while I want to collect all the original versions on DVD and see them all, I also want to collect all the DIC DVDs because they hold a special place in my heart. Plus, I like to not have to read the stuff now and then. Always loved Mars' voice in the Dic dubs. Sailor Moon has always been my number one scout though. She's totally my dream-girl (alongside Ariel and Tink that is). I have seen some of the unaired season 1 eps on YouTube, back when they weren't so strict over there. I have also seen some of S and Super S (on Cartoon Network), and even own some of those DVDs, but haven't seen MUCH of them (not even my DVDs, ha, been too busy and I want to complete a season before getting into it). I currently have the movies on DVD, the first DIC DVD, the first 4 S DVDs, and the last two Super S DVDs. It's ridiculous that they never released the final season on DVD (and that the other seasons are all out of print). I want to complete my sets, so I will probably have to go to Ebay, because I want the right versions to fill in my collection (in other words, the Pegasus and Heart Collections of the S and Super S DVDs I still need).

Yeah you can't find the final season in English, it's only Japanese with subtitles. I also have the Pegasus season and it's uncut and in English. I have the third season too, that's probably my favorite. I never knew they were out of print. I only need one dvd for the third season, but for some reason it's the most expensive one ( and I want the original covers, not the Geneon ones). They're really expensive too(the seasons)! They really need to release the last season here in the US, I wonder what's holding them back?

Sailor Stars (season 5) isn't released because of the Japanese company, Toei Animation. They didn't want to spoil the family image Sailor Moon gained through the other seasons so they refuse to allow a U.S. release. One of the most controversial thing about this season is the fact that male characters transform into females (this wasn't the case in the original manga and Takeuchi did not approve of this at all). The Sailor Moon licenses pretty much expired here so I wouldn't hold my breath for any re-releases.

Yeah, and it's hard to complete these sets too, because so many of the ones on Ebay are fakes. Plus, with the DIC ones, there are sooo many, because there are only a few eps on each DVD... I also don't want those Geneon ones! They're ugly with that red bar on them, ha! I gotta get the rest of the Heart Collection and Pegasus collection. Those shouldn't be too much of a problem though. I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm more concerned with finding authentic, unopened copies of the first and second seasons on Ebay. They do turn up now and then, but they are SUPER expensive. They always were, which is why I never managed to snag them while they were in stores. So, those and all the DIC ones are my main concern. They also released thin pack collections of S and Super S, but I have enough already that I'd rather complete them.

Yeah, that stinks about Sailor Stars. Still, I wouldn't rule out a release someday. Some folks on forums are convinced it is impossible, as with Song of the South, but I've seen some SURPRISING DVD releases, so I'm convinced nothing is impossible. I also strongly hope the live-action show gets released here! I'm dying for that one! I've only seen like the first 3 episodes, but I already adore Sailor Mars, and Jupiter looks like a cutie too, ha. Though, I'm one of the few fans that wish they'd made an American film of the show. I have my dreamcast all picked out, though they're too old by now, ha, and weren't the right age at the same time...

I bought all the Sailor Moon S dvds without the ugly Geneon bar, for $8.99 each sealed! But I just need one dvd, but that's the most expensive one for some reason. I also think it's possible there will a US release, except they'll probably release it as an uncut version just for adults. Let's be selfish for once, not every cartoon or animation is meant for little children.

I have seen every single episode of SM several times and I have to say that the first and second seasons are the best. True to the oroginal manga and simply adorable. I didn't enjoy the 5th season. I thought it was crap with those boys who are girls and the final season wasn't nearly as good as for example the two-part final of Season 1.

For all of the poor Americans who have never seen unedited versions of Sailor Moon
I have something for you:
http://www.keiichianimeforever.com/anim ... sailormoon

They had the whole first season on there. I don't know why they deleted it!!!
It is in original Japanese with English subs. Cool, huh?
