I am on the bone marrow list, although they have never called me... I don't know if I would actually be able to donate, because of that false positive, or not...

It all started a few years ago, when I came across thedisneyexperience.com. I was a frequent visitor of the site, but never noticed it featured links to other Disney websites.
There, I found a link for UltimateDisney.com and a small description about it. I was not going to click on the link, but when I read the description it said: "Learn about upcoming Disney films". I therefore, clicked on the link, fell in love with this site, and eventually joined the forum.

Oh, by the way, I could have sworn that I posted something similar to this about two years ago. I did a quick search and found this: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... highlight=

i think i found this site either thru animated-news. or the lousy dvdtoons.com.
the thing that got me hooked up to this site is the ever reliable source and great reviews. i need not look at any other site for a complete(almost) reference to disney dvd collections. every afternoon when i wake up and every night when i get home ill always check the site first. u can say it was love at first site. i only resent not being able to support the site by buying thru the links provided as i have no credit card. :( or did i misunderstand something?

shoot! didnt realize ive joined since 2003!!!
do you still wait for me Dream Giver?

I found it when I googled Disney Villains and came across the different countdowns like the Villain one obviously and the Disney's Songs countdown, after I found the forum I made my account, and talked here and there, but lately I'v been hooked, coming and talking pretty much everyday, and I discovered more and more of this site like the previews, reviewst etc. So ya now I'm a UD Fan :D

I first started frequenting UD when I discovered the reviews section, but it actually took me several months to get round to the forum. I had recently taken an interest in the Disney DVD range, having just purchased my Bambi PE, and decided to carry out some research to see what else they had to offer. A web search on Disney DVDs practically took me straight there.

I think one day I decided to click on the forum link out of curiousity. One of my reasons for previously being so cautious is down to the bad experiences with web forums I've had in the past. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but I've registered with very few where the members haven't been generally unfriendly, arrogant or overly-domineering. UD, by contrast, struck me as being a very fair and friendly place, so I decided to set up my own account and join.

That's too bad that you have had so many negative experiences with message boards Caballero Girl, because mine have just been the opposite. However, I do have to say that almost every board has those few arrogant know-it-alls who are a real pain in the you know what and seem to have made it their life goal to raise hell wherever they go. Or there are the ones who no matter how good something is always always have something negative to say. They would never admit to actually enjoying something if their life depended on it. It's those types who you just want give a good kick in the rumpus and send on their way.

I'm pretty sure (although not positive) that I stumbled upon this site back in 2003 while looking for information on the Sleeping Beauty DVD. Well, I liked ths site, and then when I searched it further, I found the message board. I was a lurker for some time, and then in July of 2004, I finally decided to join the boards and now I'm addicted to it!

Guess the mods are less strict about creating threads that have already been made:

http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... light=kram
Way back when on that thread I wrote:I used to go on a site called Animated movies. com. After they closed they reccomended alot of site including this one! So when I saw this site it grabbed my attention. So everyday I looked at this site to see new DVD updates but never actually joined! Until now! :)
Well despite horrible spelling( ) that's pretty much my story. After animatedmovies.com closed(*sarcastic voice* which I'm sure MANY of you remember) I checked the links to the sites they recommended, and a little site called "UltimateDisney.com: The Ultimae Guide to Disney DVDs" is what interested me the most out of those links. While I came here almost every day since late 2003, and read most of the news updates and reviews, I never had bothered to sign up on the forum, until I was bored and found a lot of fun and interesting stuff I could post on the forum and posted my first post on February.

The rest is history.

I originally visited the site to support one of my friends by reading his reviews, and eventually just decided to join the forum.

You can blame Paka for me being here. I had posted my video "Holding Out For a Hero", she liked it and posted it here. Told me about it, I joined to thank those who gave such wonderful compliments, and then stuck around.

I used to post at LaughingPlace.com for a while, but the mods there were a little trigger happy with the censorship, and I really hated that. Especially since I'm not the type to say stuff that really deserves cesorship. I also found it to be like most forums, full of rude people who just like to complain mostly. I have only managed to stick with a couple of forums, this one and the one at werewolfcafe.com, because the people seem friendlier. I only have so much time to use forums anyway though.

As for UD, I found it while searching about the Disney Treasures collections a few years back, trying to see what would be coming out in the latest wave. I think I went to the Treasures page a few times before I ever checked out the forum or anything though.
